I always nickname mine.

I don't, but my friend uses it to her advantage >3

She could have a charmander, name it squirtle, and then you'll put out your grass type pokemon and get it killed XD

copier! i do that to my friend to confuse them and think i screwed up my game again but yeah i nickname my pokemon if i didn't cheat to get them.

I nickname all my Pokémon.
I give them names that match eachother, just for fun. ;3

Yes, it makes the game better IMO, I nickname them by how they are. Example:

My Swallow is nicknamed Patriot

Only my Espeon which I shortened to Espy. Corny isnt it? I forgot! I also named my Pidgeot P-Diddy in Yellow once.

Sometimes, when I battle my friends, I nickname my pokemon all the same thing so that they can't guess what pokemon I'll be using next.

I don't normally unless I am lazy. I named my Treecko, Treeky, stupid eh?

I name my pokemon. Some are just numbered for refference.

No, I never developed the urge to nickname Pokemon. I think it just something silly, and not at all needed. However, a couple of my Pokemon, I have nicknamed. Like my Shiny Golbat and my first Rayquaza in Ruby.
