Why did nintendo make it so some pokemon had to be revived from fossils? They could of just made them wild pokemon in a cave or ocean.
Just the whole you only get one thing and that they are rare and you can choose one. Plus, it is then harder to get females (as usually the males have 87.5% gender rate), so eggs moves are hard to come by.
Exactly, just to add another twist to the world of pokemon. I find the fossil pokemon quite fascinating with the regeneration and all.
So they can make you suffer by having to find it and regenerate it.
I think they do it just to mess with you.Who needs them anyway.

Fossil Pokemon Are There Because Its Important To Have Many Different Animals Mixed With Different Elements, And Of Course If Pokemon Didn't Have Fossils Then They Wouldn't Have All Animals. Fossils Are Also Important Because Without Fossils There Would Be A Lot More Wonder About The Past Of Pokemon, Even Though Its Still Wondered About To This Day.

They have fossil pokemon because in the show,they sometimes talk about extinct pokemon(aka,fossil pokemon).Another reason might be because the pokemon company was bored and decided to create fossil pokemon
