Hey does everyone remember The fourth pokemon movie??.....POKEMON 4EVER......??......do you remember when professor oak said sam and they didnt tell prof. oak his name and prof. oak is sam.....so i wonder when prof. oak is going to tell ash about that??....or has he on one of the anime episodes??......
No he hasn't said anything yet. He may eventually, but I think everyone has forgotten about it

Misty or Brock said something like "Wait a sec, how did Prof. Oak know about Sammy?" or something at the end. Maybe when Ash realises what they were getting at, he'll work it out for himself.
It's most likely going to be a plot hole forever left open =/
