What do uknowns look like in japanese games are they still english or are they japanese charachters?
I never thought of that.
when you think about it, they would have to be Jappanesse charactors because Pokemon originated from Japan.
that's weird. maybe in english because.. i dunno! its wierd and i never thought of it b4!
That is wierd....
Japanese charicter unowns would be hard to make
The Unowns look the same in Japan as they do in the US/UK/Australia/everywhere else.
Imagine how annoying redoing the third movie would've been.

Look at some japanese pictures for unoun if you like. Sugimori was created by the maker of Pokemon. The Unoun G is the same as the Enbglish one, so I'd say they were all English in Japan.

The Pokedex describes them as always being stuck to walls. I've yet to actually see this, anyone else?
I have Diamond and the Japanese unowns look the same as english one. And also english is pretty common in Japan " nowdays ".

*Ahem* Hieroglyphs, anyone?

As for the question, think about it. There are several letters in Japan (is it over 400, I dunno.) more than English. Do you think the designers would go through, do ALL Japanese characters in a different design (Which would be quite hard to do with Unown) and then port it over to English?
Its pretty obvious Docotr they wouldnt, but theres actually 45 hiragana and 45 katakana letters/romajis. Like I said before Japan now values english a bit more so..
