I recently got to 556 hours and I've had Pokémon Emerald since Christmas. If I keep playing it, then I will surely make the 999:59 mark soon. Please, have any of you reached this mark on the advanced generation and please can you tell me what happens and if I will be okay. I would also love to know if anyone has played the games for an interesting length of time. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I believe the clock stops there and just puts a "+" in front of it to show it's continuous. Nothing special.

well in leafgreen i've played for 601:05 hrs. so i only need about 398:56 hrs. till i hit 999:59 that sounds like alot... so anyway i don't think that you have to start over once you hit 999:59

You'd have to play for 41 days straight to get from 0 to 999. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
no you'd have to play about 42-43 days straight for it to go from 0 to 999
