It seems so. ^^ After having May with a male rivals [Drew/Harley], it seems Pokemon is giving the new girl, Hikari, a female Contest rival:

She's really pretty. o_O I really like her. I love her style, along with the glasses and all the red.

Everyone has Hikozaru at the moment. But she looks cool, a tomboy, could work. They always describe Misty as a tomboy but I never see it unless she acted like a Gyarados. But a new rival, that will be cool if they make this girl consistent. Drew faded away after Hoenn and Harley didn't get started until Kanto really. They should see her inbetween places too like Drew was seen sometimes (like on Mirage Island).

At the moment I still like Hikari. If she's anything like May though, I'm definately going to be going for her rival instead =P
Yeah May was interesting (And pretty developed for a 10 year old) but I'm hoping that she will be less annoying and stuff. Maybe they'll go through the whole series wondering who she is and then it'll turn out she's really Misty.
maybe it's Garys sister, since i haven't heard of since Fire-red and leaf green and the kanto series from T.V
Except Gary's sister is supposed to be older and has brown hair...

It's possible that she might be related to a past character, but I doubt it. =D She's too pretty! xD
