I don't particularily like him. He is kinda wierd,, plus he lets his Pokemon go. What kind of idiot does that?

i liked Gary better, he trained his Pokemon up like Ash did, and didn't realese many or no Pokemon.
Shinji will be a great rival but not a likeable one. He seems quite arrogant and let's his Pokémon go because they're weak. Ash released his for their benefit, not his. But he seems cool overall.
I still like gary better he was a better trainer then even Ash.
Yeah, I actually like Shinji.
However, I don't like the way he treats Pokémon.
