Does anyone have a Romanization device? I am not going to get one, cause I only wan't it for one thing.
To figure out the D/P names! Big Grin
You see, The most recent Pokemon names have been romanized and officialised. If you romanize the Jap versions, then you will most likely have found the English name.
Try it ^_-
Surely Hikozaru's namely does translate to Fire Monkey, bit of lazy name if the U.S go for it. I'm not sure if they do follow it or not since some of the names are extremely pun based. But it could work, I don't don't have a translator myself, you could find one online though.
I agree with Nintenbeau, But does Hikozaru mean fire monkey? zaru means monkey but i think hiko means small. Honou is fire.. Small-Monkey or Fire-monkey. Hikozaru will certainly have different names than that of the translations of the Japanese names

You know more about this kind of thing than I do. But they're not going to call it SMALLPANZEE are they? Plus, and Sonansu the member can tell you, means, so it seems. Wobbuffet isn't anything very close to the term, so it seems is it? A close thing is why bother, somewhat different from so it seems. I found this out at Wikipedia
I can serve as a "romanizator", somewhat.
My skills of Japanese are limited, but translating and romanizating names I can do very well.

Lets just wait for when I get some more free time...
Shall we as well as translating try to guess what the new names are. One website suggested Electrobuzz for Elekible, which I thought sounded good. Buuburn could be Magmava or something. I'm not great at coming up with puns, which most of the names are based about. That's cool that you know a bit of Japanese iruchii.
Electrobuzz sounds way too much like Electabuzz, so I think they'll change a little.
Even though, Igglybuff/Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff are also really alike... bleh.

As for Buuburn, it probably won't change much.
Since Buuburn's actual name is already a romanization, PUSA would probably just make it look more like Magmar's...

Hm, Magburn?
I think it could be...Volbear (Volt Bear) for Elekible, and Burilla (Burn Gorrila) for Buuburn. I think that those are good names.
