Chapter One Complete! And NO I am not coupling my char and Brock! No Offense to Ash lovers too!

Ash sat at the table in Prof. Oak's lab, bored, hoping he would get done soon. Misty looked over at him and saw the look of utter boredom settled upon his usually goofy brow. "Oh, c'mon Ash, he'll be done soon. Just get that stupid look off of your face before you start drooling on those notebooks." Ash looked up, then threw himself on the back of his chair. "I can't help it! It's just one measly poke'ball that needs fixing!" he said loudly. "Well he's an expert, so his actions have to be precise and that usually takes time." Brock said, looking up from brushing Vulpix. Ash looked back down and at the notebooks. They were large and papers were sticking out of all of them, many had words and pictures sticking out of the edges. "I wonder what he's writing about. . . "Ash said while picking up a notebook. A small sketch fluttered out from in between the pages. It showed a small bird-like pokemon, mostly yellow and resembled a Moltres. Ash didn't bother to notice it and continued looking through the notebook, as he read on his bored expression molded itself into one of shock and a strike of horror or disgust. "What're you reading?" Misty said taking the notebook from him. "Hey! Give that back, I was being entertained!" Misty smirked and read it too; her expression changed too, but one of mystery and wonder. "After further study it is confirmed that Crystal is a . . . half breed.'" Misty read the passage from the notebook in a slow voice, Brock looked up at the girl’s name. "So there's a girl here?!" he said in a perverted manner. "Ewww, is that ALL you ever think about, Brock!?" Misty said giving a disgusted look. Brock slowly shook his head in a satisfied manner.
Ash and Misty read the notebook as long as possible until they heard the approaching footsteps of Prof. Oak. "What are you two reading?" he asked casually. Misty panicked and threw the book on the table. "Nothing, nothing at all!" Ash said in an excited voice. Prof. Oak raised an eyebrow. "Okay well your poke'ball is ready, that was quite a crack it had in it; what did it hit?"
"Half-" Ash started.
"Half of Brock's Geodude!"
Prof. Oak didn't look satisfied with their answer. "You've read my notebook haven't you?" he asked in a peeved voice. Ash froze where he sat. "We're so sorry Prof. Oak! It was Ash's idea and we were all so bored!" Misty said frantically. Brock looked up again, "You guys were, don’t drag me into this!" Prof. Oak sighed. "Well, now you know about Crystal." he said plainly. "Is she here, at the lab?" Ash asked. Prof. Oak nodded and walked to the back again. Some talk was heard and finally a pajama clad girl walked out of a room. Her hair was pale blue and matched the weird symbol on her forehead, even though she had more than one. As she came closer Ash and the others noticed the red and yellow ones surrounding the blue symbol, along with a yellow and orange one that was in a splash pattern under her left eye and a beep blue stripe under her right one. She raised a non-existent eyebrow at the trio and proceeded to coffee. Prof. Oak stayed behind and explained who she was. "This is Crystal, and as you read in my notebook she's not all human."
"What does that mean?"
"Well, I'll tell you my story about how I found her."
Ash groaned in an annoyed manner. As is there was something else to do.
"Ahem, well one day I was trimming my garden when I noticed a small red light from under some bushes. I looked in there out of curiosity and saw this yellow bird pokemon sleeping in there. It was badly injured from small cuts that I had suspected to be from Team Rocket, but I picked her up and brought her inside. After a night’s sleep and some medical attention I left her in a guest room. In the mourning I came into the room and saw that there wasn't a little pokemon there anymore, but a girl about your age Misty! I was worried and asked who she was and learned about this weird predicament. So far I've kept her here for observations and have seen incredible things! Apparently the pokemon she was when I found her was a baby Moltres!"
"Wow! Can she turn into other things?" Misty asked with an interested smile.
"Yes indeed! She told me that she was a baby pokemon because she was so weak, and my suspicions were correct. Crystal recollected men in black with large red 'R's' on their clothes. But other than that she has no memory besides her name and just recently."
Brock gave a soft 'wow' and Ash stared back at the girl. "You might want to be careful though, she's angry without caffeine." But it was too late; Ash had gone up to her to innocently ask a question. "What the heck do you want?" she asked sourly. "Hey! I haven't done anything to you!"
"Oh well, I don't trust strangers and I'm not a mourning person, so get away before I hurt you." Ash growled some. He tried to run up to Crystal, but her hand was to fast, and Ash, instead, ran into a fist.
"Don't underestimate me." she said simply, and walked to the main rooms couch to drink her coffee in peace. "I like this girl!" Misty said with a laugh.
After several hours of watching Crystal lay on the couch lethargically Ash finally got up the courage to talk again. "You!" he pointed to her with an angered look, "Why did you punch me!" she gave a small cough and started blankly back at him. "I hit you because you ran at me, and I'm not a mourning person."
"Well it's been several hours so is it still mourning to you?"
Crystal checked the clock, closed her eyes in thought, and finally replied. "Yes, so what do you want that's so important?"
"I want to battle you!"
Crystal laughed so hard the coffee she had been drinking quickly came out of her nose. "YOU!?" she yelled as the coffee slowly dribbled out. "You're talking about battling an angry person who can transform into nearly ANY pokemon she wants! Do you seriously think you would win?"
"Well erm. . . you said you can't transform into EVERY pokemon, so which ones can't you transform into, eh!?"
Crystal sipped her coffee, "The ones that are always male."
" . . . "
With an evil snicker Crystal impersonated a Jynx on the way to her room. Misty pulled Brock back by the hair and nearly tied him up with duct tape as they awaited her return. "SHE WAS BECKONING TO MEEE!" Brock said in sorrow.
"I don't care! You don't just run after a girl who's about to battle! Especially when she's going to change, pervert."
"You saw the way she was walking!"
"It was probably to distract Ash, and judging by the silence I think it worked."
Misty was partially correct, it was to distract Ash but Ash wasn't distracted. He was annoyed deeply about Crystal's ability and aimed to take her down no matter what. Crystal reemerged wearing a jacket with large cross stitches and a black shirt under it. It was overly colorful and was composed of a peacock green with black trim. On her legs hung a hybrid of pants and a long dress, each side embroidered with a Moltres or an Articuno. "Well? Are you just going to gawk like an r-tard, or are you going to battle me like a bigger r-tard?" she said in a sneering tone. Ash growled again. "I'm waiting." she said again in a sing-song voice. Finally Ash leaped over the counter and ran out the door, signaling that the battle had started. Crystal followed after him, not wanting to miss a beat.
"Okay. . . since she can transform she'll change into whatever pokemon I throw out. Gah! Darn it. . . " Ash said to himself. He looked down at the pokemon he had intended to use, thank goodness it was still inside its poke'ball. Crystal walked smoothly outside, she tilted her head upwards slightly. "Well?" she asked. Ash narrowed his eyebrows, "You go first!" he yelled back at her. Crystal's nonexistent eyebrows rose in minor surprise. Her eyes closed and a calm look came upon her face; light enclosed her body and grew larger. At last the light was gone and a large Tyranitar was facing Ash with the same sneer Crystal had given him. "Grr. . . SQUIRTLE I CHOOSE YOU!" Ash sent out the small turtle pokemon against his rock hard opponent. The Tyranitar shrunk in size as it performed a swagger attack. Ash laughed whole heartedly, "You know that powers up MY pokemon!" he said boastingly. Tyranitar Crystal gave another 'you're an idiot' look and near immediately took advantage of the confused Squirtle for a take down attack. Suddenly a loud beeping came from the Tyranitar, Ash laughed. "Is that your mom calling you?" he yelled so Crystal could hear it. She changed back in a similar burst of light; her eyes quickly grew moist, and in a burst of energy she ran back into the lab.
"What was that about?" Ash asked himself as he too entered the lab. "What'd you do to her?!" Misty yelled to Ash.
"What? I heard some beeping and asked if her mom was calling her!" Prof. Oak sighed as Misty grew a bit angrier. "Weren't you listening earlier? I told you that she doesn't remember anything about her past. . . So making a comment about her mom upset her greatly, Ash."
"YEAH!" Brock shook his head in a bit of disgust and walked back into the room where Crystal had fled. He saw the curled up mass under her covers and an odd beeping accompanied it. "Are you okay, Crystal?" she sniffled in reply and pulled the covers in more. Brock slowly walked and sat down on the corner of her bed. "Don't worry, we'll bound and gag Ash tonight for your entertainment purposes." he said jokingly. Crystal remained silent and the beeping continued. Brock placed a calm hand on her side; Crystal pulled the covers off of her head and looked up at Brock. "Really?" she asked in a creaky voice. Brock gave a small laugh, "Sure. Now let’s get rid of that sad face." he held out a handkerchief for Crystal to clean herself up. "So, what was that beeping Ash and I heard?" Crystal blew her nose one more time before replying. "It was my Tamagotchi. . . " She held up a pale blue virtual pet that matched her hair. "It was hungry and wanted attention. . . "Her turquoise eyes looked up at him. Brock quickly stood up and offered to help Crystal off of her bed. "C'mon I'll go help with lunch and you can talk to Misty about adorable things!" Crystal giggled and got up.
As Brock walked back into the main room with his little 'shadow' Ash immediately started asking questions, only to get hit by Misty to the delight of Togepi. "So what kind of pokemon do you have Crystal?" Misty asked while putting Togepi on the ground to play with Pikachu. "Hold on, I've got mainly birds but a few water pokemon!"
"How’d you know that I liked water pokemon?"
"I'm psycho?" Crystal shrugged and let out four pokemon. Lined up were a Ralts, Meowth, Pidgey, and a yellowish-golden bird that had a small flame on its head. Crystal picked up the fiery little bird and snuggled it immensely. "What pokemon is that?" Misty asked while staring the little bird. "Well. . . I call her Mini-tres!"
"So, it's a baby Moltres?"
Crystal nodded and continued cuddling the little pokemon. After that she picked up the others and set them on her lap. Crystal and Misty talked for a long while about whatever popped into their mind (but it was mostly cute pokemon and boys). Finally Brock yelled from the kitchen that lunch was ready.
"So, are you going to talk to me again?" Ash asked after eating a good portion of his noodles. Crystal gave a sour look over at him and quickly kicked him in the shin. "Maybe." she replied solemnly.

SECOND CHAPTER COMPLETE! Oh and we couldn't think of a good pet name for Misty that wasn't Bubbles. . .

"HEY! What was that for!" Ash yelled back while holding his shin. "Well I don't like talking to imbeciles, but I will try to recollect my story."
"That's beside the point, now tell me why you kicked me!"
"I think she just technically told you, Ash." Misty said with a small laugh. Prof. Oak scrambled up to the table with a tape recorder. "Yes! Please, tell me what brought on these strange powers, Crystal!" Crystal took a sip of her water and looked into its rippling surface. "Well. . . " She started, "The last thing I can remember was sitting in front of an enormous Lugia; It was bleeding badly from its port wing. I remember it telling me about something I drank . . . I can't remember what now, but after that it told me that I was 'blessed' now. I can remember thinking about it with such an awe and splendor, just thinking of what I could do made it all the better. But, then I learned about the bad things and what was to happen in the future. . . " Crystal paused for a bit and drank another sip of water. "The Lugia said an organization would come, with ten times the power and numbers of Team Rocket and as cruel as Teams Aqua and Magma combined. . . After that I woke up in the same cave, but the Lugia was gone. I looked down into it's blood, it wasn't a deep red, but more of blue-ish mercury; I felt my stomach lurch at that thought, so I started trekking out of the cave." she continued her odd story of how she came here. It was filled of hard to believe facts, but seeing that she could do these things herself made it all too real.
"So, who do you think this new organization is?" Brock asked. Crystal shrugged, "Heck if I know! Though it is disturbing. . . " They nodded in solemn agreement. "Well, maybe it'll reveal itself soon, hopefully." Prof. Oak added. "Yeah. . . "
"Either way I don't care, I just want to fight them!" Ash jumped up onto the seat and bravely said this, only to be pulled down be Misty.
From outside three intruders were watching carefully, and drooling over they saw inside. "This is wonderful! I bet the boss would pay big for this!" said the male of the group. The Meowth looked up from his binoculars. "Same here! But I could go for the food instead. . . " All three of their stomachs growled in pained hunger. "Either way se just need some food . . . and perhaps a nice bath." the girl sighed as the smell of her dirty companions wafted over to her. "But I've heard of this girl, some of the pokemon have been talking about it." the Meowth said with a sly look, "Maybe we can convince her to join us since we're a human and pokemon team!" the girl looked over at the Meowth with a sarcastic smile. "That is the GREATEST plan EVER." she said with a laugh. "What makes you think a person like that would fall for a lie like that; though posing as her parents might be a good idea!" the man said. "Yeah right, that's an even worse idea! Since we don't even know her name and have COMPLETELY different hair colors!" the trio sighed and continued watching inside of the lab.
After that the day went by rather normally until about noon or so when the mail came in and an unexpected invitation arrived. "It's here! And I've been invited!" Misty and Brock looked up from grooming their pokemon. "What's here?" Brock asked.
"The Pokemon Researchers Ball! Sure, I usually go to this but for once I have something phenomenal to show off!" he looked over at Crystal, who was serenely napping as a Flareon on the couch. "Do you think she'll go with you?" Misty asked with a small laugh at the thought of the tomboy in formal clothes. "Probably. . . But it would be great if she did!" Though most seemed excited about this prospect all but a grumpy, sleeping Flareon and Ash seemed unaware of the situation. Ash's mind was dazed by thoughts or someone . . . and he knew he would get his head chopped off, burned then handed to him if he were to dare say anything about them; for they were of Misty, the elegant water pokemon user that he had known for so long in a long gown and looking her best. . . Ash started drooling at the thought of her. Brock near immediately remembered this dreamy gaze into oblivion and gave a memorable sigh at his own encounters with it. "What's the matter Brock?" Misty asked at the sound. "Oh, just remembering something. . . I wonder what's on Ash's mind?" he said in reply. Ash shook his head quickly and looked up. "Oh . . . heh, heh. Nothing's wrong . . . just erm. . . TIRED! Yeah. . . "
"Whatever you say. . . "
"By the looks of it someone's on luuuurrrrvvvvvvve." Crystal stole Ash's hat and messed with his hair through the drawn out word. "I-I. . . I AM NOT!" he said with a red face (from anger as well as embarrassment).
"Uh-huh, sure, say what you want lover-boy. I can read it all over your face (plus the psychic pokemon inside me can tell too)!" she wagged her finger and continued to mock Ash, "So, who's the lucky girl eh?"
"None of your business!"
"Oooooh, you didn't deny not having a crush, so go on. Who is it? Someone near, or is she in a distant land waiting for you to find her!"
". . . " Ash's face grew redder.
Later that night Misty looked around the room she was sleeping in. It seemed small and a bit dorky just like. . . NO! Why would she think that about her friend? What was her mind leading her into, but the incident from earlier caused her to wonder more, who did Ash like? How many girls did he rally know? Then it hit her like a brick on Psyduck. . . Did Ash, perhaps . . . ? Maybe, or maybe he's got a crush on Gary's sister, yeah that's it! But, he's never said anything about her, he never did really say much about her too so that couldn't be it. "Does Ash . . . love me?" her wondering caused her to get up from her bed and go wondering. It was a perfectly clear night that was seen from the window, being cooped up wasn't of Misty's nature so she gently opened the door and walked outside. Pokemon were napping happily in the fields as the moon shown down upon them from above. She looked around a bit more and noticed a figure by the pond. Its hair was messy and dark, it also seemed to be gazing into the water's depths in deep thought. "I wonder who that. . . " Misty said to herself as she crept closer, but as she approached her words were cut off by who she saw. Ash! She couldn't believe it, what had driven this nerdy little pokemon trainer out of his deep sleep!? It didn't matter now . . . they were both awake and that was what mattered most. She quietly walked out towards the pond he was sitting by.
Being the guy Ash was, he didn't pay attention to the noise of the approaching Misty but still continued to stare into the depths of this pond. The water reflected everything some wonderfully . . . and the refracted images of its depths when rippled look so neat to him and beautiful too. Though the thought of earlier when Misty nearly found out his secret still surrounded him, what would she do if she learned? Earlier she had joined in with Crystal's taunts but would she this time? His mind cluttered wit thoughts until a voice rang softly over head. "Hey," Misty said softly. She sat on her knees next to him. Ash's face instantly turned red, he dug his face into his raised knees. "What are you doing out here?" Misty asked. Oh no, I'm dead! What will she think if I tell her what I'm really thinking!?! "N-Nothing. . . " Ash replied still hiding his face. Misty had seen this before in her sisters’ boyfriends. They'd be really shy at first and make stupid reasons for being somewhere, but all in all they'd ultimately be thinking about them. Misty smiled to herself. "You know. . . " She began, trying to carefully choose her words without directly stating it. "We've been traveling together for a long time . . . " she paused. "And I really- really . . . like you." Misty smiled a bit more, softly blushing as well.
Ash's face grew warm with blood gushing in from every site imaginable. Did she really say that she loved him, or just liked him as a friend? Misty saw this confused look, and swallowed all dislike for Ash, she knew what would happen next. "Not just as friends . . . I . . ." the night was frozen in time, the moons glare on the pond below made everything brighter to them both and from this Misty regained courage. " I love you." It wasn't a lie, she did. All of the moments that they had spent on this estranged journey came to them both and exploded with a wondrous feeling in new couple. Now what? Did they hug, kiss, or simply stare into each others eyes . . . at their own souls reflecting back? All of what they might or should do same to them both, but which was right? A kiss was too early, they had just established this love. . . Hugging did seem appropriate, but it didn't seem loving enough. . . Oh, what to do, what to do! It was too much for Ash! He quickly hugged Misty in a tender fashion, he placed his hand on the small of her back and held her for what seemed like forever. . . Misty looked up, it wasn't the same dorky little Ash she had known, but someone who knew nothing about love . . . but everything about it too. She closed her eyes and smiled, knowing that nothing could break this bond that they shared. "C'mon, we'd better get inside before someone sees us. . . " Ash said softly. Misty gave a slightly sad look, but smiled more. "Yeah . . . but how are we going to tell Brock?"
"Heh, heh, he'll probably expect it . . . " Ash tried to think of a loving little name for her, "darling."
Hai! This is Crystal Sevvy here announcing that this will be updated SOON, like UBBERLY UBBERLY soon! Otherwise I need to get back to my schoolwork *at school* mwahahahahaha! Cryst out!
This story is... AWESOME!!!!
"Hm? Pik-pika? . . .PIKACHU! Pika-pika-pikkkkkaaaaa!"
"What are you . . . ?" Brock asked as Crystal seemingly discussed something with Pikachu. "Pikachu's got some tempting information." her eyes grew to slits and mouth curved into a cat-like smile of evil. "Tempting info.? What kind?" Brock figured that pokemon would know some vital things, but apparently so sinister and daring should liven up this morning. "Well, around midnight last night he said that Ash left his room, and about thirty minutes later Misty did too. It may not sound bad at first, but when thinking about it . . . well, it's kind of mysterious as to why these two would leave their rooms." Crystal's smile grew slightly eviler, but with tenderness upon it. "Woah, woah, woah. Hold on, so you're saying that they both left last night?"
"Yep."
"And that they didn't come back?"
"Not that Pikachu knows of."
Brock was surprised, slightly. He knew that the two had been traveling together long before they had met him, so had they unknowingly fallen in love with each other? It was possible, heck lots of other strange things had happened on their journeys. Crystal looked around suddenly, then quickly pushed Brock under the table. "Shh!" she put her finger up to her mouth, the leaned close and whispered in Brock's ear, "They're coming back inside!" her voice was drenched in hushed excitement. A few seconds after she had said this the door leading into the kitchen was heard opening and closing. "What do you think they'll say?" Misty's voice came. "I don't know. . . "Ash said in response. Brock got up from under the table. "Hey you guys!"
"EEP! Brock, what are you doing up this early?" Misty asked
"Well, I would be asking the same question to you, and as to why you were holding hands!"
The couple had forgotten that little detail, they nearly dropped hands, but gave a heavy sigh. "You see, Brock. . ." Ash started, his free hand scratching his head nervously. "Last night Misty and I had a little talk and now- " Ash was cut off by the uprising of Crystal from underneath the table. "AH-HA! Pikachu was right, you two DID go out last night!"
"WHAT?! H-HOW?! Oh, please don't mock me or Misty!"
"I'm not, I don't mock couples; though single people who are over-achievers are perfect targets." she chuckled some.
"So, I'm free?!" Ash was almost about to cry, "Nope! When alone you are my target of desire!" Crystal's eyebrows rose and dropped. "So, since to ball is this weekend why don't you come shopping with us, Ash?" Misty asked, leaning over slightly to meet eye-to-eye with her new boyfriend. "I-I-I guess. . . " He was still nervous about this whole thing, and his love in a possible short dress? He felt like passing-out, but just sank into a nearby chair. Misty grabbed his hand and pulled him up, "Are you okay?" she asked softly, this time Ash did faint.
He woke up what seemed like thirty minutes later on the back of a large Pidgeot. "What the. . . ?" he asked, holding his head up. To his surprise he wasn't laying down. No, his head way lying against Misty's chest as her arms were clenched tight around him. "You're awake!" she said, hugging him tighter. "Wait, where's Crystal?" Ash then felt that the sharp turn from the Pidgeot was meant to knock him over. "Argh, I get it!" Ash yelled. He was tempted to pluck out a feather or stomp on her, but he knew what would happen and who would go to the hospital. They glided serenely through the air, not noticing much but the clouds, not even the large Meowth shaped and colored one. . .
"Wow, that twerp got his Pidgeot back!" said the Meowth in the Meowth balloon. "Really? Awww, it's just the brat- and hello, since when did twerpette hold him like that?" the red-head had pushed the Meowth in the Meowth shaped balloon out of the way and was now watching the couple. "Wait, that doesn't look like his Pidgeot! Those markings look different." the purple-headed male now observed the Pidgeot, but from afar since it was easy enough to see. "You're right! Those have definitely never been there! I wonder if it's rarer that way. . . "
"Probably so, the Boss would pay big money to see a Pidgeot like that!"
And so, that trio went on yapping about how much their boss would pay as the Pidgeot began a slow decent into Celadon, the shopping shrine of Kanto. Crystal suddenly went into dive bomb toward the nearby forest. "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?" Ash yelled, then the Pidgeot jerked to a halt in a tree and left the couple down, then with a small pop she landed. " I can't change in front of people." she dusted herself off quickly, then turned around. "Hey, I don't think you changed back completely. . . " Misty said.
"What- oh no. . . " Crystal groaned. "I did a quickie transfer. That’s why I didn't glow like when I was a Tyranitar. This usually doesn’t' happen." She pulled her coat down over the Pidgeot tail and proceeded into Celadon. Ash had remembered this city all to well, especially the embarrassment from Erika, the gym leader. He didn't want to go back to that mall where she was but know he had too, he was with girls and girls like perfume. As the two girls walked in, Ash paused for a moment in a small bit of fear. "C'mon buddy boy!" Crystal grabbed him by the ear and dragged him into the store. Ash was doomed.
The first place they hit was girly as girly could get. Ash knew he had to go in with Misty, and Crystal involuntarily went in. They hit several more stores until they got to the main one. A clothing department that was piled high with bright colors, though not all pink. "This is our last stop!" Misty already had several bags with her, as did Crystal. Ash looked around the store, hoping to find at least SOMETHING to wear . . . maybe Gary had an extra t- OH WHAT WAS HE THINKING?! He was determined to find at least something to wear after that thought.
