Okay out of all of the series of Pokemon which ones do you think are better? Original, 2nd generation, Advanced Battle, Battle Frontier, or Chronicals?
I prefer the Original show because it followed the story line of the games better; plus, Team Rocket had better schemes and plots! And since I grew up with the orginal Red, Blue, and Yellow games it made me feel right at home with it! I also like Chronicals because it introduces new characters and old favourites!

the originals through the second generation. Team Rocket was more interesting back then, actually everything was. Overall, the whole thing was better. Funnier, more shipping, etc xD
Plus, I loved the Delibird that often visited Team Rocket, random, yes I know ;p
The originals, nothing can replace them......they were funnier, team rocket was better, the plot's were better......and they had misty to......
i just don't think they put in as much effort now......
For example the Celadon City episode; Ash had to crossdress to get into the gym! Will they ever come up with anything like that again? I highly doubt it...
4Kids censors everything now so you're right, Ash will never get to fulfill his owmanly desires! Wait that came out wrong. . .
Well, 4Kids aren't doing the show anymore, so I spose you can wait and see how PUSA handles it. Though I already dislike the way they're doing it because of the new voice actors >_> Anyway, that's a different topic xD

Gotta love the originals. I seriously adore every episode of the Indigo League and Orange Islands. I was never bored by filler episodes and I loved all the characters (Misty's the best). Ah, and the shipping. There were some really cute moments back then. Like when Misty smiled proudly at Ash when he was battling Erika. Aww =] Luckily I have the first and second seasons on DVD ^_^ The new episodes aren't that bad, but I don't like May and Max and I miss Misty, plus I don't like contests so any contest episode is kinda boring for me too. I also liked Ash better when he was the young one who was still learning. I mean, he's still awesome, but I don't really like how the story is focusing on him
and May. I'd rather just watch him. Ah well, I've got my DVD's so I'm happy =]
I have trouble finding those DVDs if any at all where I live. Pokemon has died here in a way, and I'm really getting sick of ordering Pokemon stuff off the internet. Johto wasn't too bad either ;] Same characters and general plot ideas. As soon as they got rid of Misty, everything went downhill.
I agree with that. Although they did seem to drag Johto out for a long time. (I suppose they didn't have much choice seeing they couldn't move on until Ruby and Sapphire had been released) I still loved it all though.
They released the DVD's here in box sets for the 10th anniversary of Pokemon. It was about the only thing we got xD

that's one of the main reasons I prefer the original series too! Ash was funny when he was young and was very intent on getting Gary! Plus Misty was my fav because she balanced Ash out with her knowledge and ways of teaching. And the new voice of Ash sounds like James's original voice (from about the first 50 or so episodes fro mthe beginning)
Everyone loves the first season laods and it was good but the company realised after his 6th Gym Badge that he was going too fast and they had loads of boring filler between Fuchsia and Cinnabar. I think the Advanced (Hoenn) Generation was the best, loads of good episodes and fillers, the humour is great and it's exciting to watch. Plus, Ash had to cross-dress there too and Jessie and James still do.
