Many mysteries surround the universe that we call home. Not only do people wonder where we came from, but where will we end up?
It is not unusual for many creatures of the planet Dot-Com to gaze up at the night sky. Many of them wondering, what is out there, what can exist where we don't go?
Of course, the answer is, we don't know. All we have are our histories.
At first, there was but One. The Old One. A being whom was everything, everyone and everywhere, all at once.
It was the influence of said being that sparked a chain of events. First it created Space, and with it a gentle, paddle-footed beast came into existances. As it swam through space, stars twinkled in and out of existance and planets began forming about the stars that hoped to be able to support life.
The One, being pleased so far, then went as far as to create the unusual entity we have named Time. A creature, this one savage in appearance, constantly on the move, yet pausing now and then for a moment's breath.
The Old One chose this time to sleep for a while, having already made Time and Space, which were exhausting endeavours in themselves.
As it slept, four demonic creatures sprang forth. The Earth, forming a skeletal structure, a base for beings to begin life upon. The Wind, making an enviroment fit for our world to survive in. The Water, being the giver of life, and the form of creativity itself, gave us a place to start and draw inspirations from. The Fire, giving us willpower and passion, and, above all else, emotion.
The One soon awakened and was amazed at what it saw before it. Tall mountains that seemed to touch the sky, bottomles oceans, rolling seas of forests!
However, nothing should remain perfect for long. The One created something new, something none of the others had ever dreamed of being able to bring into existance.
Life. It gave us the very thing that we need. Above everything else, above food, water and the other things we need to do, it gave us the most important thing in the universe. Life.
However, as life sprang forth, they discovered it would clash with the beautiful world that the four had worked to create. So, he made a third being. The one that would keep watch over the world. making sure the burden of life was lifted when one had carried it for long enough.
Now, it's work completed, the One vanished. The other beings soon vanished as well. Some more then others. As they vanished, however, they left something in their place. Constantly watching us they still exist to this day.
This is the history of the world of Dot-Com. This is just one however, of many stories that I know off. Are there any others you would care to hear?
The Rise of Kerberos - A brief story detailing the rise to power of the most evil being in the world.
Cherry the Ghost Gobbler - A warrior who must harness his fruit-devouring powers to save Dot-Com from tyranny!
A Day in the Life of Meatloaf - Meatloaf the Dim is one whom few see as more then a meager half-wit.
The Tale of Anublow - The Desert dwelling being whose past is as mysterious as the pyramids he guards...
