Well, essentially, I have learnt lot's of Religions. I am still Ateist. That's essentially no religion...
My by belief on the subject of prayer is simple...
Firstly, prayer is, in many beliefs, to the god of their belief... I believe that prayer goes to the "soul." However, I have a completely different understand of one's "soul."
I believe that the soul, is infact part of the brain (I love science). The brain has many functions. One is the primitive, sudden action, where you do things without thinking. Adrenaline comes from a chemical reaction where one needs the energy...
So really, I think you are praying to the less primitive side of your brain, however, you still have a chemical reaction. Now, if you pray for something that's reasonable, then your brain will sub-conciously change the way you think, thus letting you aim to get your goal...
