The Life and Times of Jacque

Chapter 1: About Jacque

It was another day in the life of Jacque, a 15-year old boy in the region of Hoenn. While walking down the road from Rustboro City to the Pretty Petal Flower Shop, he passed a couple of Pokémon Trainers who wanted to battle him.

"Come battle us, your Pokémon look strong enough", one of the Trainers said.
"No thank you, I'm on my way to check on the Berries I planted", Jacque replied and continued walking.

When he arrived, he was surprised to see one of his Wepear Berry plants lying on the ground. He ran towards it, and slowly picked it up from the ground.

"Sirpin, take this plant and put it carefully in the bag, please", he said and handed the damaged plant to his Pinsir. After slowly putting the plant in the bag, Sirpin took out another Wepear Berry for Jacque to plant. Jacque took the plant and pointed at the empty spot of soft, loamy soil.
"Shrewster! Dig a small hole, please", he said. The Sandshrew started digging, and it did not take long for him to finish. Jacque slowly planted the new Weaper Berry, after which Shrewster covered the hole.
"Good job, fellas'", he said and smiled at Sirpin and Shrewster.
"Time to set up our camp!".

The three friends took out a small Red Tent, and set it up. Sirpin was sent out for wood while Shrewster started digging around the tent. It was their typical style of taking care of the Berries they planted. Set up camp for one night, see if the plant was healthy, then return after a week. When Sirpin returned, he and Shrewster set up a small fire to keep them warm. Then they used the rest of the wood to make a wall where Shrewster had been digging. That way, they could stay warm and would be protected against thiefs and wild Pokémon. They crawled into their sleeping bags, except Shrewster who curled himself into a ball, and slowly fell asleep.

The next day, Sirpin and Shrewster started packing up their camp, while Jacque went to check on the new Berry plant.

"Ah, perfect as always. I just hope it doesn't get damaged this time", he said while admiring the plant.
"Pin...Sir!", Sirpin shouted and pointed at the flock of Wingulls flying towards the plant.
"Oh no!", Jacque shouted.
"Sirpin, Brick Break! Shrewster, Slash!", he shouted while pointing at the Wingulls. Sirpin and Shrewster started fighting off one Wingull after the other, untill all of them had flown away. Jacque then noticed the injured Wingull laying on the ground. It had been hurt by the other while trying to escape. Jacque took out his Poké Ball and captured the Wingull in it.
"We need to get you to a Pokémon Center, fast!", he said.
"Sirpin, need a lift!", he shouted, and Sirpin ran up and put Jacque on his shoulders. They ran towards the Rustboro Pokémon Center, the closest one, closely followed by Shrewster who was rolling after them.

Once they arrived at the Pokémon Center, Jacque threw the Poké Ball to Nurse Joy, who put it on a small tray and gave it to a Chansey. The Chansey then disappeared with the Poké Ball, and did not come out for two hours. Jacque jumped up from his seat and ran towards the Chansey.

"Will it be okay?!", he asked with a nervous tone of voice.
"Chanseeeey!", the Chansey said and smiled. Jacque couldn't have been more relieved.
Wow, thats a really good story! But Jacque sounds kinda lazy, making his Pinsir do all the work and CARRYING him. And what levels are they? If Shrewster is level 22, than he can evolve into Sandslash, which is a cool Pokemon.
1) The only reason Pinsir was carrying him was that they needed to get to the Pokémon Center fast. Also, they work as a team, Pinsir and Sandshrew don't do all the work.

2) Pinsir and Sandshrew are around level 50. The reason Sandshrew hasn't evolved is because it doesn't want to change. It loves everything the way it is, and it doesn't want Jacque to think differently of it.

Anyway, here it is, Chapter 2:

Chapter 2: Forever Wingull

Nurse Joy took the Poké Ball from Chansey, and gave it to Jacque.

"Here's your Pokémon", she said with a smile.
"Oh no, it's not mine. It was injured by other Wingulls while trying to escape from Sirpin and Shrewster. I just couldn't leave it there.", Jacque said.
"Well, aren't you a great Trainer. We need more people like you.", Joy said and sounded very happy.

Suddenly the Poké Ball opened, and Wingull started flapping it's wings. It sat on Jacque's shoulder, giving away a cry.

"Kraa!"

"I think it likes you", Joy said and smiled once more. Jacque smiled back at her, and said:
"I think you're right. Maybe I should keep it?".
"You really should, it will grow powerful together with you, Sirpin and Shrewster. I've never seen a tighter bond with Pokémon. They must love you very much", she said, while Sirpin and Shrewster did their victory pose, not unlike the one Ash Ketchum made famous a few years back.
"Well, I'd better get going home, I have a long journey ahead of me", Jacque said. The four friends started walking towards Lilycove, and Jacque's house, feeling a little closer to each other after the events of today.

While passing the city of Mauville, a young trainer approaches Jacque.

"Hey! Battle with me, you look weak compared to me and my Pokémon", the young trainer said. Jacque shook his head and said:
"You know, I really don't have time for this. Besides, you don't want to battle my Pokémon", he said and continued on walking. But the boy ran up behind him, stopped him and then shouted:
"I do want to battle you and your Pokémon! Now come on you coward!".

Jacque turned around, pointed at the spot in front of the young trainer, and Shrewster started walking towards the trainer.

"Go, Pidgeotto!", the young trainer shouted, and let out a Pidgeotto from his Poké Ball.
"You do realise that my Shrewster will beat Pidgeotto, don't you?", Jacque asked with a bored look on his face.

The boy grew furious with anger and shouted at his Pidgeotto to send a Gust at Shrewster. Shrewster rolled to the side, jumped up and slashed Pidgeotto's right wing. Clearly hurt, it crawled back to it's trainer, wanting to come inside the Poké Ball, but the trainer kept pushing it.

"Come on, Aerial Ace!", but the Pidgeotto fainted before it could even try to get up. The boy took out another Poké Ball and threw it up in the air.

"Go, Wartortle!", and out came a Wartortle.
"Wartortle, Hydro Pump!"

Shrewster dodged the first Hydro Pump, and the second, but was hit on the third. Jacque took out a Poké Ball and called Shrewster back.

"Alright then. Sirpin, Brick Break!"

Sirpin dashed towards the Wartortle, who just stood there. In a swift move, it jumped over Sirpin, used Hydro Pump and then finished him off with a Skull Bash. Jacque, honestly surprised, was ready to declare defeat, when Wingull jumped out of it's Poké Ball.

"Haha, that little bird is going to beat my Wartortle? Haha, how very amusing", the boy said and laughed.

Wingull started flying in circles, confusing the Wartortle. It started flying faster and faster, untill it suddenly flew up in the air and disappeared. The two trainers looked up in the sky, waiting for something to happen. Then, without warning, Wingull crashed into Wartortle at an incredible speed, causing Wartortle to faint.

"Oh my", Jacque said, and called Wingull back into it's Poké Ball.

The young trainer did not say another word, he just walked away. Jacque started walking towards Lilycove again, thinking about what he just saw.
Yay! A good Pokémon Story, though the recent battle was a strange 3 on 2 but still good nonetheless. Keep up the hard work, it's paying off.
I figured that either he was too surprised to let out his third Pokémon, or he didn't have one Toungue.

Anyways, here's chapter 3.

Chapter 3: Stolen Poké Blocks

While entering Lilycove, Jacque is nearly run down by a man in black clothing. He sees a young woman run after the man.

"Stop! Stop the thief!", she shouted. Jacque stops the woman, and asks her what was stolen from her.
"He stole my entire collection of Poké Blocks, I was going to give them to my Bulbasaur for the Pokémon Contests!", she cried.
"Oh please, please help me. You look like a strong trainer, I know you can get my Poké Blocks back for me", she said. Jacque nodded and ran after the thief.

Jacque caught up to the thief a small distance from Lilycove, tackles him to the ground and holds him there. To be on the safe side, Jacque releases Sirpin, Shrewster and Wingull.

"Give me what you stole from the young woman", he shouted.
"Alright, alright, just get off me", the thief said while handing over a case of Poké Blocks.

When Jacque finally got back to Lilycove, the young woman ran up to him.

"Did you get my Poké Blocks?", she asked. When she saw the case in Jacque's hand she threw herself over him.
"Hey, take it easy", Jacque said, barely being able to breathe.
"You haven't even told me your name. I'm Jacque by the way".
"Oh, where are my manners? My name is Ashley, I've come from Kanto to compete in the Pokémon Contests that are held here", she said. She took out a Poké Ball, and released her Bulbasaur. It was dressed in a white scarf and the cutest sunglasses you've ever seen. Jacque melted when he saw it, and tears were filling up his eyes.
"Oh, it's so....so....ADORABLE!!!!!", he shouted, and started hugging the Bulbasaur.
"Uh, you're suffocating it", Ashley said while pulling Jacque away from the Bulbasaur.
"Ah yes, well...Do you have a place to stay?", Jacque asked.
"I was planning on staying at the Covy Lily Motel, but some group of people called Game Freaks have booked the whole place. So no, I don't have anywhere to stay.", she replied and sighed.
"Well, why don't you come with me. I can set up an extra bed at my place. It's right over there", Jacque said and pointed at his little house.

Ashley nodded with a smile, and the two went to Jacque's house. While Jacque was setting up the extra bed, Ashley helped herself to the fridge.

"Oh dear me, Jacque, this thing is emptier than a Team Rocket Grunt's brain".
"Team Rocket?", Jacque asked with a silly look on his face.
"Yeah, you know, the guys who tried to steal rare Pokémon a few years ago. I wonder if they still exist?", she replied.
"But I guess they're more of a Kanto group. Of course you haven't heard of them".

The two fell asleep after a little while, and didn't wake up untill 12:00 AM the next day. While Ashley was making breakfast, Jacque went out to train a bit with Sirpin, Shrewster and Wingull. That's when it hit him:
"Well I'll be...I haven't given you a nickname yet, Wingull!".
"Hmm...let's see, I'll call you Gully! Yes, that's the perfect nickname for you, Gully!", he said and smiled. Gully flapped its wings in joy and sat on Jacque's shoulder.
"Alright then guys, let's try something different. Sirpin, Shrewster! Take Wingull through the warmup, then come back here", he said, and the three Pokémon ran off. When they returned, Ashley had come out to see Jacque's training program.
"Do you need any help?", she asked him. She took out three Poké Balls and showed them to Jacque.
"Uh, what did you have in mind?", he replied.
"A battle, 3 vs 3", she said and smiled. She threw the Poké Balls up in the air and shouted:
"Go, Bulbasaur!
Go, Growlithe!
Go, Larvitar!"

The Bulbasaur, Growlithe and Larvitar growled when they got out of their Poké Balls. They were ready for action.

"So, how are we going to do this? I was thinking Bulbasaur vs Gully, Growlithe vs Sirpin and Larvitar vs Shrewster", she said. She had a look of confidence on her face, and a glint in her eye.
"Yeah, if you think your Pokémon can manage", Jacque replied.
