This is a Pokemon fic starring Negi Springfield from Negima?! in the Pokemon world.
Chapter One
"Takamichi, where did you find this portal?" a young boy carrying a long staff asked the tall white-haired man running infront of him.
"I found it on Library Island." answered the man, Takamichi. "Negi, I don't know what it is, but it could be dangerous."
"I know." said the boy, Negi.
"Negi!" called a girl's voice from behind.
"Huh? Asuna? Whats wrong?" asked Negi.
"I want to go with you! To see the portal!" answered Asuna.
"O-okay." said Negi.
When the three of them arrived at Library Island, there was a big red and white portal infront of them.
"There," said Takamichi, pointing at the portal.
"Its so pretty!" gasped Asuna. Without thinking, she rushed in and dissapeared.
"Asuna!" called Negi. He went in after.
When he came out the other end of the portal, he was surprised to see a white baby with a green helmet with red rounded spikes on it looking at him.
"Hello, there!" Negi said the baby cheerfully.
"Ralts!" the baby answered.
"Ralts? Is that your name?" Negi asked.
"Ralts ralts!" Ralts answered.
"Negi? Is that you?" Asuna came running from a grassy area a feet away with a pink cat running beside her.
"Asuna?" Negi asked.
"Skitty ski!" shouted the cat.
"Ral ral ralts!" shouted Ralts in response.
"Negi, what are these?" Asuna asked.
"I have no idea!" said Negi.
"Well... they are pretty cute." Asuna bent down to pet the cat following her.
"Hey, are you two new Trainers too?" called a voice from a nearby house.
"Whats a Trainer?" asked both Negi and Asuna in unison.
"Oh my God, you don't know what a Trainer is?" asked the boy.
"No." answered both in unison again.
"Oh jeez... well, follow me to Prof. Birch. Hes out researching some Pokemon." the boy gestured to follow him.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down ther, bud! Whos Prof. Birch, and what the hell is a Pokemon?" asked Asuna.
The boy was speechless.
"Well?"
"Okay, Prof. Birch is a perosn who researches Pokemon who are creatures who live in this world and are the friends of humans." explained the boy. "You two seem to have a Pokemon each."
"No, this little... cat... thing is following me around." Asuna tried to shake the Skitty, who was clinging to her leg, off her leg.
"And I just found this little baby-like thing when I came through the portal." said Negi.
"What portal?" asked the boy. "Oh, and by the way, my name is Brendan."
"I'm Negi." said Negi. "And this is Asuna, and the portal I mentioned is a swirling disc of red and white that my sensei, Takamichi found this morning, and we, that is, Asuna and I, jumped through. And now here we are."
"Oooookay..." Brendan was confsed at this sudden load of information he had just recieved. "I'll take you to Prof. Birch now."
