I am going to start playing Zelda games to see how fun they are.
Anyone have any reccomendations on which one I should start with.

I could play any that are for these systems.

N64
GCN
GBA
DS

Also after my question is answered this can be used as a general discussion thread.
Ocarina Of Time (N64) was always classic. And if possible, the Oracle games on GBC.
Agreed! Ocarina was a classic, AND my favourite! I loved Ages, too! Never played Seasons, though~
Majora's Mask was pretty good, too~
So Ocarina would be a good one to start with?
Actually, in my opinion, Ocarina is great, but if youre going to start playing them for an overview of sorts (like to understand it and its development) I suggest that you go out to your local GameStop or other store which may cary a used copy of Links Awakening for the GameBoy. This is by far one of the most classic Zelda games and i think a great start for any developing fan. Then i would say move on to Ages and Seasons and Ocarina and Majoras Mask.
Ot of the ones you have, I suggest Ocarina --> Majora's --> Link to the Past --> Minish Cap --> Wind Waker --> TP (if you have it) --> DS one (IS THAT THE PHANTOM HOURGLASS!?!?!? That's not even out yet) And so that's my verdict, it doesn't really matter, I'd suggest the shortest ones first and then build up to the longest. Playing the best one first kinda makes the others seem bad. Everyone disses Wind Waker but it's awesome!!!!
Actually, if you want story-line and continuity (Though Zelda doesn't often have it) Link To The Past might be a good one. It's a redone GBA version from the SNES.
I love the series...here are my games and their systems:

Orcania of Time-N64 and Wii VC
Major's Mask-N64
First Legend of Zelda-Wii VC
I even thought the NES(or maybe it was SNES) look kinda fun even though it was really pixely
I think you should get a Ocarine to or Major's Mask for the GC.
