Mt. Moon Community

So, I started writing this early November, and then I realized that November was National Novel Writing Month (Remember, Google is Your best friend). So, I then started writing this for that, but, then, I realized that I wouldn't reach the goal, since I started late. I didn't amke the 50,000 word goal, but I got a great head start on it. Anyway, here's a little 'teaser trailer' for ya.

The scene fades in to a forest. Strings with horns in the background play a spooky type tune, giving the scene a haunting feeling. Suddenly, a shadow runs in front of the camera. The camera moves to follow the shadow, but it disappears. The camera starts walking through the forest, looking around, as if expecting some monster to jump out at any time. A howl is heard, and the camera jerks around, looking for the source of it. The camera settles down and starts walking through the forest, still looking around.

It stops when it sees two, red, glowing eyes in the forest. The eyes disappear, and paws are heard, and the camera starts running, as if trying to escape something. Then, a Mightyena with glowing red eyes leaps out from behind a tree, and tackles the camera, knocking it to the ground. The camera acts as like someone who is struggling to get away, and then, realizing it can't get away, looks back up at the Mightyena, who bites the camera, and the screen goes dark.

The screen lights up again as two company logos flash on the screen. More intense music starts, featuring strings, horns, and a chorus, as many different clips are flashed up on the screen, including, two boys being chased by a Lugia, a Mightyena, similar to the one seen earlier, attacking some people in lab coats, and Moltres shooting a fire blast at a village.

Then, the screen goes dark again, the music quiets down, and the title, "Shadows", is shown, along with a boy saying "You ready?". Another clip comes on the screen of a boy outside a PokeCenter. "I was born ready," he replies, and the screen goes dark again, and one phrase lights it up:

"Coming to a Forum near You."

XD Wah, really like some trailer movie or advert.

I can't really tell what your story is about yet, although it seems like a thriller and a mystery. It would also seem the Pokemon have gone mad or something? Nevertheless, looking forward to seeing the rest of your story!

I'm glad you like it! I'm going to wait some before I post the Prologue, just to torture you. Naw, I'm just a person who doesn't like to post things really close together, like two chapters of a fan fic. Though I am itching to post the Prologue.

Prologue

A small town lay between a forest and a wall of hills. The sun was setting in the west, as if sinking into the hills. People wandered the streets, going about their business. Kids were in their house, getting ready for bed.

A strange man walked out of the forest. He was dressed in camouflage clothing, and wore a helmet that had a transparent black visor, giving him tactical read-outs and specifications. A microphone bent from the side of the helmet, which came around to his mouth. He spoke something in the microphone.

Then, the sound of a bird, a caw, was heard. A bird Pokémon flew out of the clouds. It was orange and yellow, with its wings on fire. Moltres.

Moltres swooped down, getting lower and closer to the village. It cawed again, and people looked up at the sound, waving at it. But then, it swooped down and shot a column of fire at the village.

People dived out of the way as the fire blast hit the village, setting it on fire. The people started shouting orders, and grabbing buckets, getting water to put out the fires.

Moltres swooped around, coming in for another attack. One person shouted, and pointed, showing everyone the attack to come. At this time, they noticed something. Moltres was different from when they’ve seen it before. Instead of its normal eyes, they were completely red.

Moltres fired another column of fire at the village, setting more houses on fire. People hurried, gathering buckets of water, and pouring it on the fires, trying to put them out, but to no avail. The fires raged on.

Then, another, different caw was heard as another bird Pokemon descended from the sky. It was blue. A mist was flowing from its wings. It was Articuno. It flew down and started cawing at Moltres, as if saying “Stop it!” Moltres ignored that and flew around for another run on the village. It was going to attack again.

Moltres opened its beaks to attack, and was about to fire another column at the village when Articuno flew in front of Moltres, blocking it. Articuno started cawing again.

The man in the forest spoke something into his microphone. Moltres’ red eyes flashed and it attacked Articuno, shooting fire at it. Articuno dodged the attack, but it hit the village instead, feeding the fire.

Articuno flew up and attacked Moltres with an ice attack. Moltres was hit, but it did little damage, as its fire melted the ice. Moltres attacked with fire again. Articuno tried to dodge, and almost did, but its wing tip grazed the attack, and it faltered slightly.

The man saw this and spoke some words into his microphone. Moltres’ eyes flashed again, and dove towards Articuno. Articuno didn’t see it coming until it was too late. Moltres rammed into Articuno, and sent it to the ground.

The man smiled as Articuno fell. He was glad to have the victory. He again spoke something into his microphone. Moltres swooped down to deliver the final blow to Articuno. Before Moltres had a chance to attack, Articuno shot a water blast at Moltres. It was a direct hit. Moltres fell from the sky.

It lost consciousness as it hit the ground. Articuno struggled to get up, and eventually managed to. The man cursed, seeing that Moltres was down. He turned and went back into the forest, going back to where he had come from.

After a few minutes, Moltres awoke, and its eyes were back to normal. It surveyed the village, which was still burning, so people were trying to put out the many raging fires. Moltres looked up at the sound of flapping wings. There was Articuno. Articuno cawed at Moltres, and told it of everything that had happened. Moltres looked back over the village.

I did this? It thought, breathless. Articuno swooped down and fired a water attack at the village, helping to put out the many raging fires. It then flew off. Moltres slowly got up, and flew away also. Why did I do this? It asked it self, as it disappeared into the distance.

Ah! How intruiging!

So it seems that man has the ability to obtain control over a Pokemon? I really liked how you made Articuno try to stop Moltres, it shows abit of the releationship between them. Great description too, although you might want to watch for slight spelling errors, but then, that won't stop me from reading this story

Spelling errors? I write this in Word, so there shouldn't be any errors? Can you show me the errors?

I'm glad you like it. I try to be as mysterious as possible, and I have several plans for this Fan Fic.
