I think these work. I agree that most of these are tacky like Lickilicky but I have to say that my Glaceon resembles my trainer name enough as Glacia! gonna gave that!

I'm glad they finally released this all at once. I've been working on a new EV guide for D/P that I can give to my league's players when the games release, but giving them a list of half Japanese names would've been a mess. It's nice to be able to complete it and get it to them as soon as they have the games.

This is awesome news if they're true. Nut how could someone leak them on a forum, this many?! And who? Still good news though, and some of them are really cool but others are lazy, but too be honest, some of the early names are lazy anyway so it's not like they're being any different.

Serebii was pissed that they let it out so fast.
Probally because they ruined 2 months of news for him XDDDD

some of these names SUCK.

i mean, Rotom? kinda puts a nasty word in your head, eh?

and Lickilicky? that's a bit... cr*ppy.

i have to say, those are the two names that i found the worst, but most of the other names are a load of crud.

some of them are ok, though with it, it's like these people just went up to a random kid and showed them a picture of the pokemon and said.

''What name do you think is good for this?''

they really shoulda just stuck with the jap names..

I'm annoyed at Giratina's lack of name alteration.

Yanmega is actually kinda cool. I mean, Megayanma sounds like a freaking Digimon. And a nice pun on Meganeura - the ancient dragonfly that Yanmega is based on.

Probopass sounds kinda... wrong for a Pokemon. Why can't they have has 'Stachepass instead?

Rampardos sucks.

Bastiodon is clever - Bastion = fortress, or something like that. Don - King? Possibly a pun on Iguanadon, a dinosaur.

Skorupi - Um... Why not simply keep Scorpi?

Gallade is a play on Gallantry and Blade - but otherwise it makes on sense. I'd've thought they would use a Spanish-sounding name to compliment Gardevoir's French-stled name.

Gastrodon makes me think of someone having a nice big and wet fart. PARF!

Hippowdon? How do you pronounce it?

Rotom - Rotate (which atoms do, apparently) and Atom. Simple, sweet, short, to-the-point, yet decievably clever. I LOVE IT!

Spiritomb - Wasn't expecting that. Makes sense. Spirit (obviously) and tomb. Also possibly entomb: as in "the spirits are entombed [contained] within the Crucial Stone"

Rhyperior - I was wondering about this. Rhydon's name comes from a corruption of Rhino and Don (a king) literally meaning Rhino King. Rhyperior comes from Superior and rhino, clever.

Chingling is a character I'm using in my Mystery Dungeon Saga (don't'cha know) but it sounds chav-ish. Apologies to anyone here but it does.

Porygon-Z: Oooh, another Pokemon with a "-" in it's name! Watch out Ho-oh!

Bronzor & Bronzong - Bronzor is ok, but Bronzong sounds rude. Can you say Bronzongbronzonglongdongbronzongbronzong... etc.

Ambipom - Coming from Ambidextrous and Palm. Weird. But Clever.

Regigiags - my name didn't change? Bah! I'm still the Clobber King!

Overall...

Regigigas likes the name changes!
