The Dream Marauder
I. The Strange Figure
One late night at exactly 12:00 PM, a blast door slammed open by the power of the winds. Out of the dark interior of the room came out the shadow of peculiar figure. This figure was the normal human being figure. This figure wore an orange and black striped sweater, and an orb right in the middle of the shirt gleaming with an evil light.
He let out a diabolic laugh and teleported in an evil manner into a place where one boy lies asleep. Unnoticed the strange figure approached the young boy in his slumber, and without making one sound he went out of sight and into the boy’s body, to wreak terror deep inside his dreams.
II. Meet Cameron
An alarm clock sounded at 7:00 PM. Time to wake up was the sound of the alarm clock. A young boy by the name of Cameron had awoken from his sleep, and jumped out of his comfortable bed. He rushed over to the bathroom with his Pajamas on to brush his teeth. After about a minute, Cameron walked out of the bathroom and went downstairs into the kitchen. He saw his mother, Ms. Thompson and greeted her good morning. His mother greeted him back with a good morning. Cameron’s mother was a normal woman with long brown hair, white skin and green eyes, skinny look, and 5 “6 in height. Cameron wasn’t really the type of person you would think of as a normal boy.
Cameron was a very timid and quiet person. He had the habit of wearing sunglasses all day long just so people won’t look at him as much as they would with him without the sunglasses. He had straight black hair, blue eyes and had a tan. His mother was preparing breakfast. She was preparing the usual eggs and bacon. Cameron devoured his breakfast and drank a full glass of juice. He quickly ran up the stairs to dress up and prepare for school. He quickly dressed in his school uniform. His uniform was made up of a white shirt with the name of his school, “Christina M. Eve” the name of his school. And on top of it was an alligator. He wore kaki colored slacks and wore black shoes. He had no need to comb his hair as it was always the way he always had it – all brushed to the front.
He picked up his black book bag holding his text books and his source book and he ran outside. Luckily his school was right across from his street, so he had no worries of being late. He looked both ways and quickly ran across the street with his eyes closed. He had made it to the other side, and he entered the school building. Inside the school building several students were having discussions while picking their books out of their lockers. Cameron quickly opened his locker with the key combination, picked his books and ran to class. Right after he came into class the late bell had just ringed. Unfortunately, he was late for class. Fortunately, their teacher hadn’t arrived yet to class so he quickly took a seat, just like everybody else. Five minutes had passed and the teacher had not yet arrived to class. Cameron was getting worried and he put his head down, and closed his eyes. Five more minutes later, he had already fallen asleep and his teacher had not yet arrived to class.
III. Losing your senses
Cameron put his head back up, and had found out that he couldn’t speak. In addition he had also lost his hearing for a moment. He took advantage that nobody was watching, and slowly walked out of class. After that, nobody was in the hall way. He became desperate for a moment and went into the bathroom. But something had happened the moment he entered the bathroom. He didn’t really enter the bathroom. If not, he had entered a strange boiler room. The boiler room was releasing allot of pressure, which made the room blazing hot. He looked around a bit, and found nothing or nobody. His hearing came back in the blink of an eye – his voice in addition came back as well. He was now hearing the pressure the boilers were releasing. Out of the blue, a strange figure showed himself from behind a boiler. Cameron turned around with his mouth open. Cameron asked him who he was in a stuttering manner. The strange figure then let out a quiet evil laugh and slowly walked close to Cameron. The orb on his chest was glowing both orange and white in a pattern-like way.
Cameron then looked for a place to run over to. He found no place, so he ran as far as he could. He hid in between two boilers and stood quiet. The figure approached slowly with a smirk while Cameron was desperately trying to find a way to escape. The orb was about to release a beam. But right before that Cameron placed his arm on a boiler and burned his arm. He ended up in the classroom with his fellow classmates fidgeting and letting out yells of despair. His teacher was already there standing in front of the board writing. The teacher had dropped her marker and ran to the back of the classroom to see what was wrong. Cameron opened his eyes – he was awake again. His teacher asked him if he was okay. Cameron then looked around the classroom and saw that his classmates were staring at him in a way of curiosity. Cameron said he was okay, again stuttering. He picked up his things and left class without a hall pass. The teacher turned around and told the rest of the class to get back to work.
Cameron was out of school. He crossed the street and headed home. He went upstairs, and found something. He had a mark in his arm - The mark that he had gotten from touching the boiler. He touched it. It was real as he expected it to be. He found out his dream actually was a real event that took place. He sat down in his bed, and he fell asleep quickly.
He ended up in a terrain which had mountains. It was dark, and the sky was red. He searched around the terrain and found a dormant volcano. He was shocked for a second. He knew this was one of his dreams. Cameron walked around, and found the mysterious figure from the nightmare he had in school. He stared at him for a second. The figure pointed up into the sky. Cameron looked up, and saw text written with fire. The text gave a message greeting him and giving Cameron his name.
Chakal’s the name, and nightmare’s my game.
Cameron looked at him, and he started shooting beams out of his chest with the orb. He ran as fast as he could and dodged the beams. He found a mirror on the floor. He thought of an idea to get rid of Chackal. He picked the mirror up, and hid it behind his back and waited for him to release a beam. Chackal wasn’t a fool though. He knew what he was planning, so he disappeared in mist he had created. He reappeared behind Cameron, and released a beam of light. Unknowingly, he had made the mistake of doing it without the idea of it being a mirror. It reflected back over to him, and he disappeared.
Cameron woke up, and everything was back the way it was before. He walked downstairs to the kitchen, and it was the same way he had left it when he woke up in the morning. His mother was preparing breakfast. He took a seat, and looked around. Everything really was back to normal. After taking a look around, he looked at his mother.
His mother transformed into his nightmare he had supposedly defeated. Cameron yelled. The house suddenly flew up into the sky, and he was never heard from again.
