I have been debating some of the new art and character designs for these new 4th gen characters and a few of my friends dislike the new characters enough to say that the original artist Ken Sugimori does not draw them anymore. Now i do not know where this thread really fits, but i decided it was animation... Can anyone tell me if Ken is still the leading artist?
It may belong in chat but the pictures are animé based so it can stay here. I'm pretty sure he still is, plus all the pictures are still incredibly similar to his style. This can also be left open as a general discussion thread about him. But his artwork is awesome and whether or not he did the 4th gen ones, they're still awesome nonetheless.
Yeah you got it right! His art is great! I know card collectors who search specifically for his art. I hope that he is still the lead artist.
I'm pretty positive he is still the lead artist. I just recently saw a Japanese website having his name under the art.
