i was wondering what makes a pokemon popular is it its speed or how cute it looks this went on for hours. i reached the answer"lets ask the people who know most". thats how this poll was created.
I'm gonna move this to Pokémon Chat if you don't mind since that can then include everything. But looks, if it makes good animé appearences, the stats, if you used one and it got you out of a tight jam. These are all factors that make me like Pokémon! Trying them out is a good idea!

Personally, i think what's important in a Pokémon is based on how you train them in the games.
If you go for a Pokémon just because of it's speed stat, for example, then you'll probably teach it fast moves as well.
If you have a particular favourite, then you'll probably teach it a good balance of attacks to suit its type [Types if it has 2 types].
But that's my opinion; everyone elses' opinions count too.

Intelligence it everything. Every Pokémon can battle, but it takes skill and intelligence to battle properly.
Pokémon such as Metagross are intelligent!
