Yeah good story! I heard a story on America's Dumbest Criminals that was similar. A guy went into a McDonald's or another fast food joint and asked if he could apply for a job, he was given a form to fill in and he began doing so. The man at the counter then left him to fill it in, as he had some other work to do, the burglar then reached over the counter, stole the money from the register and dashed off. But he was easily found, since he had put all his contact details onto the application form... idiot

indeed, i have heard of many stupid criminals, such as 2 men who robbed a store, they said "no one move", then one of the robbers shot his mate because he moved...heh......there is a list somewhere on funny junk of stupid criminals......
I read someting about a criminal slamming his hand against the window to break it but just ended up leaving his prints xD.
And yeah that guy was pretty stupid you would have thought he would have kicked down the door and got the other end of his credit card before leaving
