I believe this came up in a topic over 6 months ago before a random outbreak in spriters came to MMc, but I think we need sub categories in Smergle Square. We now have GFXers, Artist, and spriters, which is why I think we need to have those three categories. That way people dont goto spriting shops asking for avatars or an artists showcase asking for a sprite. I personally think its a reasonable idae, but its not up to me, and I really can't judge other people's opinions. What do you think?

i like it.... it WOULD make it organised. It WOULD also take some getting used to.
Though I think it's am excellent idea, consider this.
The Spriting Shop I'm a part of has spriters and GFXers. So we'd need to completely divide up shops or create 2 of them. Unless we had in each sub-section, a large thread consisting of every artist (who could be listed on the front page with their examples) who then do their Banners or T-Cards or Sprites or whatever. I have thought this but then thought about splitting up people and their shops. If it could be done, it could work, I just dunno how we could really divide it up.

I arrange all of my documents on my computer by making different folders [i.e. i have a folder for my GBA stuff, a folder for my PS2/GC stuff and a folder for each of my hobby stuff], so i think sub categories will make things easier for everyone.

I'd love it, Paul. I think the spriters are overcome by GFX'ers. So yeah, perhaps that way GFX shops won't kill sprite shops. Like mine.
Actually Sprite shops kill GFX shops, with thre being 15 spriters for every GFX artist and only 1-3 of the GFXers get requests...
