We have a favourite Portable Game and since for some reason we couldn't stretch that further to general gaming, here's one dedicated to Console Gaming! So what is your favourite Console based Pokémon Game?

Mine is deffinitely XD, I wish it had come before Colosseum because everyone disses XD and hasn't tried it. It is way better than Colosseum and is really interesting, the story is good, the game length is excellent and it's traditional in its battling ways, but different for having purifying.

So I look forward to hearing what you have voted for and post what you did and say why you voted for it.
And here are my reasons for XD being better than Colosseum for those who want to know, it's a long list!

+ You can get the Holy Grail of Pokémon - Lucky Egg!!!!!!!
+ Purifying Pokémon + the Chamber is way better!
+ New moves for Pokémon, new Shadow moves & more Pokémon with TMs and better movesets when caught.
+ Graphics are improved
+ Orre Colosseum adds an incredibly tough challenge, probably harder than anything!
+ Easier to get PokéCoupons and decent items
+ Move Tutors including the Mew one

I compiled this list a while ago, it's how much I like XD!

I like Pokémon XD as well.

You actually get ALL THREE legendary bird Pokémon PLUS Lugia, who is one of my favourite Pokémon!

I also like the music in the Pokémon HQ Lab. *Sniggers* I love that jingle...

But, yeah, i like XD because of everything NintenBeau has said, so there really isn't much else to add...

Apart from XD Gale of Darkness ROCKS!!

I have never played XD though so I will have to try that

Okay, I have deleted those posts because they were pointless, off-topic adn therefore SPAM. Read the threads before you post, it's not hard. This is Console Pokémon, a console is a large box thing that plays discs or large cartiridges, otherwise known as the Wii, Gamecube or N64. Pearl, God and Silver are NOT on those formats, even the poll is a dead giveaway of what we're talking about.

Anyway, XD is best for me and is really great, but the fact it came after Colosseum and uses a lot of the same places and music is a bit of a let down.

Unfortunately, I haven't played many of the console games. (From the list, only three - Pokemon Stadium 1, Colosseum, and XD)

But I'm voting for Pokemon Stadium 1 for N64. There were some features that I really liked - for example, if you nick-named your Monsters, it would be a slightly different color when battling (before the official "Shiny" thing). Mainly though, it's pure nostalgia for me. Starting my Pokemon Career on the original Black & White Gameboy and seeing my Monsters animated and in color for the first time was really cool. Plus, I was WAY more into Red/Blue than Gold/Silver.

Colosseum was okay - there was the "Master Ball" trick that made catching Shadow Monsters a lot less stressful. Otherwise, I THINK if you missed catching a Shadow Monster, you missed it for good, which in turn made you unable to catch Ho-oh. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) Purifying Shadow Monster took forever too...

XD was a great improvement over Colosseum with many problems from Colosseum fixed. (Many points already mentioned)

Battle Revolution looks promising to me. Random Wi-Fi play and a Pick-up-and-Go (pure battling) gameplay like the N64 Stadium Games should keep me busy for awhile. I just have to find a Wii before it comes out.

In my opinion, though I haven't played Battle Revolution, I'm foreseeing that this'll be the best Pokemon console game.

WiFi capability, stadium-quality battles, [hopefully] a story mode (not Orre), ect.

I have to say, XD and Colosseum for Game cube have tobe the best.

The graphics aren't great, butthe gameplays cool! Also, the plots are awsome!
I have them both, but have yet to finish both of them.

I know it's really not a game in the same sense as the others, but you left out my favorite, Box. That thing is so amazingly useful! I've filled up 2 of the 60-pokemon boxes on that thing already(I finally, at great expense, got a copy of it a short while ago), and all my GBA games still have a lot of pkmn on them. I already do a lot of breeding, and with the Gym teams I'm creating for our league, I've had my pkmn fruitfully multiplying. Box is an invaluable asset to me.

That being said, since it's not up there, I'll go with Stadium 2, since in its time it performed many of the functions that Box does. I also loved the minigames on it.

I'd say Pokemon Stadium 2.

I loved that game, and I loved the mini-games, also.

I also enjoyed Stadium 1 and Snap quite a bit, but I haven't had very much experience with Colloseum.
