This is either an April Fool's gag or the most bizarre pairing of Mario & Sonic I could have imagined. It still makes me feel all tingly inside to see them in the same game, but I was hoping it would be something... different. Maybe a 2D platformer? I dunno. If this is in fact real, maybe this means Sonic's chances in Smash Bros. Brawl are pretty high... I have the sneaking suspicion that this is a hoax, however...

EDIT: On second thought, the usage of the Beijing Olympics logo costs money, and I doubt that Sega would go through the trouble of paying money for a prank. That, and all the other press releases about this thing have me believing this is real. I hope it doesn't suck...

And as for what I think, I think it looks gút. and it is an actual game. Sonic's chances of Smash Bros entry are getting stronger by the game!

Sonic & The Secret Rings was pretty good, i got it and liked it. I'm getting this and it should be pretty awesome. Mario cross-overs are usually good. Let's just hope this has some decent sporting events as opposed to lack-lustre minigames (here's looking at you; Monkey Ball - Banana Blitz)

Yeah, I haven't liked any of the 3D ones.

I did slightly like the one for Dreamcast.

lol Sonic is Garbage... The Dreamcast one and the classic ones are awesome.... yet got boring after awhile. I'm a mario fan all the way. I have or have played every mario game except Mario Strikers... (i think) I still want to play that tho... The Super Smash Bros. Series have been in my heart since the first one. Super Smash Bros. Brawl WILL be mine the first day it comes out...
