Okay, time to anser the question that has bugged genorations of pokemon fans, WHAT IS THE BEST STARTER?!
I picked Charmander for the best, but if I could pick more it would be Charmander, Piplup, and Chimchar
I started with charmander in my Leaf green, its my 2nd favorite. Mine would have to be Piplup, big surprise there...
I went with mudkip because it justs stands out

Piplup rules, i have one in my pearl, i didnt evolve it because as piplup it is a major cutie! and it learns hydro pump at lv 44
I think the best starter is Treecko. It learns loads of cool moves, looks awesome and has cool stats. It's just a very useful Pokémon to have. Although in DP, I think it'll lose effectiveness.
For me, the best starter shall always be Charmander. No question.
Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, I love them all ^.^
