Which generation do you like the most?

I loved the 2nd generation. I enjoyed going to Kanto and Johto and the changes to Kanto were pretty cool to me.
2nd Generation
I feel the 2nd Generation made the most gameplay advances in the series.
I also feel that it actually implemented these advances the best especially with the weekday events and time.

I think its worst fault was a generally underpowered new set of Pokemon.
Crystal was absolute love.

Unfortunately the battery broke in my cart, so now I can't save. Awww...
if you're also including FR/LG in the Third Generation, then that's my vote.
I had so much fun with secret bases in RSE, and the third generation also has most of my favourite Pokémon.

I agree that RSE weren't the best Pokémon games and all, but FRLG is also included, and I consider those to be the best "gameplay wise", so yeah.
I loved Gold and Silver.
It was cool that you could travel back to Kanto, and rebattle trainers when they called you. Overall, I liked the G/S/C features worked better than the D/P ones. For some reason, night/day doesn't feel as good as it did back in G/S/C. =/
Despite the fact that Kabutops is from Gen 1, and you can't obtain it solely without help from another game, Gold, Silver, and Crystal were the best. My Feraligatr, Crocdude (who later became Croczilla), literally smacked the crap out of everything. Back then, though, I only fired attacks and didn't focus on types, so I did Surf on my rival's Meganium. Even when it died in one hit, it said "It's not very effective..." And I was like "What are you talking about? I slaughtered that freak!" ...It wasn't until RSE when I started to pay attention to types, since it's more tactical and added the Nature and Ability feature, so it's more manditory to learn so.

Overall, GSC can't be beaten. It is ultimate. However, only those who played it and loved it for the time it came out are the most likely to believe that. GSC was so amazing, I stood next to where the entrance to Johto would be in FireRed version and mindlessly wasted batteries for about half an hour, imagining what Johto would be like in a graphical upgrade. I became more excited for when in the Fame Checker, Lance tells you he wants you to come to his hometown and meet his family. I recalled Claire being Lance's cousin, so I grew giddy. I hoped there was a special in-game event that would let you go to Johto in FireRed. Boy, was I ever so disappointed...Sad
GSC, for every simple aspect of the plot that the other games lacked.

IF ANYONE SAYS 4TH GEN, THEY WILL BE BEATEN WITH A WOODEN PADDLE, THEN BEATEN AGAIN.
First gen, partly because that was the only season of Pokemon that I watched.

Last gen made it easier for the games, though, since you didn't have to actually catch them all to fill up your Pokedex.
First gen and (I don't care what TF[I] does to me) Fourth gen.

I love Charizard and some other Kanto Pokémon, but I love nearly ALL of the 4th generation Pokémon, even Infernape, whom I never expected to like XP
My favorite was the third and fourth generations. I liked in the third all the pokemon and the gaining of wireless trading. Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, Regice, Regirock, and Registeel were pretty cool, too. In the fourth, I liked all the new legendaries, and how on Regigigas, you got to use the three Regis from the last generation of games. I also liked the new pokemon and the new evolutions of pokemon, such as Froslass, Gallade, or Dusknoir.
