Works the same way as Official GFX Talk. Post your artwork for comments, talk about in art in general, ask for advice, etc.

Uh....on the topic of art (If you call it that)
I just flushed 105 bucks down the drain today for a Bamboo Fun Tablet at Circuit City. I got it working in no time, but I found it harder to draw than on paper. O_o I'm still trying to adjust to it. ^^;
Here are the 2 crap sketches that I tried drawing on GIMP when I started with the tablet like an hour ago:


Just testing it out for half a minute. IT SUCKS, ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD. xD


Spent like 12 minutes on this sketch. It sucks too, but I'm getting a little better with the tablet. I LOVE shading with the ordinary pencil, but everytime I try shading in GIMP with the 1px brush with the tablet, it doesn't really look good. Maybe I'll try with different opacity later.
So yeah, I stink at drawing, but I WON'T GIVE UP. >D
The bamboo is also fun to use for normal stuff like browsing MMC, like I am now. =D

EDIT: Woops, I forgot to finish the second sketch before uploading it. Oh well, you get an idea. xD

I really like the cat one. Amazing coloring techniques, and the shadow is nice. I haven't figured out how to color yet. ^^;
The spoink cares me, but of course, I admire your coloring.
That Pikachu is really cute. And I'm jealous of your coloring, even on this one where it's very simple compared to the rest.

I'm not that great on coloring. Though, that's probably because I compare myself to artists who I can never hope to be as good as.

The Spoink scares us all. It even scares me.

Whew, I spent a couple hours on this, even if it looks bad to you, I'm pretty proud of it. It's my first real art using a tablet, so..^^;

The katanas are kinda small, but realistic for a pikachu. xD

I was going to try it out, but I was too lazy.
Besides, it's a lot like what I'm already doing just with more detail. Though, I agree, it's amazing.
