A handful of players here (myself included at times) request that no legendaries be used in battle. Do YOU believe in using them? Or do you also believe that they should be excluded? Let's hear your opinion, and the reason for it.
I think there's a difference between using a "legendary", and using an "uber".

In the standard metagame, a lot of legendary Pokemon are used. For example, Pokemon like Azelf, Cresselia, Heatran, Celebi, the legendary dogs/birds, and such are used in Wifi on standard OU teams. The reason for this is that these Pokemon have stats that aren't quite high enough to be quite considered overpowered, and are countered by a lot of the Pokemon in the OU tier. I'll admit, I tend to train a couple of Legendaries like Raikou and Cresselia every now and then.

But on the other hand, going into battle with Groudon, Palkia, Kyogre, Mewtwo and the likes is another story. These Pokemon are pretty much the highest on the food chain, being able to dominate the entire field with their extreme amount of stats alone, hence the reason these Pokemon are placed in their own tier. Banning these Pokemon are justifiable, I guess.

But you can see where I'm going with this. It's 2:30 AM, and I'm pretty tired. I'll edit this tomorrow.
This reminds me of PBR WiFi where every second person has a team of ubers. It's so annoying xD

I think if both players are fine with it, then there's no problem. Personally I don't use them just because my favourite Pokemon aren't legendaries and I like to battle with my favourites.
If the other play doesn't use ledgendaries, why should you?
It pits them or you at an unfair advantage, which is really kinda slack in my books.

If your both using the same number of ledgendaires on each team it's alright.
I don't believe in using legendaries full stop.

They just annoy me, and it's always the same ones all the time, especially in PBR double battles; it annoys me so much >: (
And you actually think solid people won't use legends?
personally i think when battleing a person who started with you or around the same time as you one should use niether starters nor legendaries. this way forces you to train pokemon of all different typesa and makes the battle more of a cahllege. my friend and i have been starting games and battling each other for years and starters and legendaries are always a no no. plus unless you each chose the same starter from the start one person automatically has an unfair advantage.

What the hell?
i beleive in legendaries. however, i DONT beleive in using hacks and glitches to get a shiny lv.100 legind. once i catch a legindary, i TRAIN it till its better than it is. most people cath em, dont train them, and take credit for the high lv.s
I don't mind using Legendaries in friend battles but getting non-Sinnoh Legendaries are quite hard to get and most of the side legends (Three Birds, Dogs, Regis) can be beaten by most other Pokemon...so to conclude I really don't see the point in using Legendaries in friend battles
