Who says that moderators are allowed to ban a member?
Yes, you talk it over, but it doesn't mean you need to use it as a constant threat, I mean, Kura has been on my back about issues lately, and she does 'flame-baiting' herself.
shes basically flaming me by saying I'm immature, and even tries to send RanDumb down a few pegs, but unfortunately it doesn't work.
This is terribly unfair, and I'd like a few of the moderators to have talk with Paul, because I'm sure it's not just me who is sick of this, it's many members.

Honestly, I kinda agree with you, Azza.
She told you that you were immature because you were flaming a n00b, which happens frequently around here.
I, for one, also have had a couple of cases like that (and maybe with a few other mods), and support you.

Okay. Well I'm sorry that I'm trying to do my job and enforce the rules.
I've been a major moderator at one of the biggest, most demanding pokemon forums and they were EXTREMELY strict, so I'm sorry that I don't let it slide as much as some of the other moderators around here.
And the staff team says that moderators are allowed to ban members. I don't have a direct say on who to ban, so I bring it up to higher ups for a discussion. If they say "Nah" then I say "Alright."
And you know.. you complain about "n00bs" all the time, and I am one of the moderators to help try to deal with them. People have lives, so not all the moderators or higher staff have time to deal with all of this.
But I get your point. I probably have been a bit rough because of all this bashing of these "n00bs" that you guys all think you're better than, so you think it gives you the right to say whatever you want to them.
You're an older member and an older person. You don't know if someone that you deem a "n00b" that comes on here is a 10 year old with some sort of learning disability. You didn't take any of that into consideration and you did NOT handle the situation with the thought of "Hey this is a human being on the other end who has feelings." THAT'S why I called you immature. It wasn't to flame you or whatnot, it was to make you understand that you shouldn't act that way towards any member no matter who they are!
And if you have an issue with a member, then you DO have a say. But going about it in a flaming or bashing way isn't going to do anything. Randumb is generally a good member, but do you think I appreciate it when he puts me down all the time? No, I don't. Do you think I appreciate his sarcastic remarks and how he tells me that I'm not doing anything properly? No, I don't.
He does more of that than actually addressing the problem, and that's why I don't listen to his opinion. It's not helpful to me because all it is is accusations.
I appreciate you bringing up this thread. I'm not going to ask this thread to be locked because I would like to hear what other members have to say in a proper manner. If there is something wrong about me, then I will listen and I will fix it. But I will NOT let rulebreaking slide. Even if the rest of the staff think it's not bad enough for an official warning, I will STILL let that member know they are doing something wrong. And I hope they take it more as a learning experience than just some moderator trying to get at people.

I understand, but not completely.
The member wouldn't have seen the post I made, so there was no need to bring me into line for it.
I've changed recently, I used to cooperate and I find that it doesn't work.
I hope that our recent issues are solved, though.
Edit: I think ten year olds would get their parents to talk for them, if they had any kind of learning disability, I have had a friend or two way back who had learning problems, and their parents would gladly type the message for them, and explain to them what it was about.

Thats not an excuse, Spammers have lives yet they are online a hell of alot.

Funny. You brought up the 'getting at people' which means you yourself know people view you as that. Really nagging wont achieve anything. Especially if you can see that people can view your actions as nagging.

And yeah, most of the mods here are really lax. I can see why Kura being strict about the rules would be so surprising. =/
Irish, for one, you aren't lax, and the ones that are around most of the time aren't either.
But, Kura did and does take the cake for being the most strict, but you take a close second.
I'm sorry I don't like n00bs, they are annoying an pathetic, and I have known that person over MSN, and they aren't a 10 year old kid with a disability, they are 15, and are extremely rude, and arrogant, much like myself and RanDumb, but they show it by being n00bish.
