I recently downloaded a very large track, a couple hours long, and I'm looking for something that'll let me cut it into individual chunks. I'm using WMP at the moment, and I've tried using Nero, Windows Movie Maker, and Sound Forge. All of those refuse to work.
Any suggestions? =/
WavePad's a good program. Get it for trial, because it costs. I think.
I believe Audacity's a decent program too; I haven't used it yet, but meh; them's my suggestions.
I'm gonna see if Cool Edit Pro 2.0 works, then I'll try Audacity. Sam just suggested that to me, as well.
This is really annoying. @@
Audacity is free, and I think it should work pretty well for what you're trying to do.
if you have money or ...ehem... "other means", adobe audition is one of if not the best audio editing programs.
Im surprised sound forge didn't work, i havent used it for years so unless they changed everything it should work like you wanted.
Also there is avid Pro Tools, but that's rather expensive and you need the mbox for it to work.
edit: hmm thats what i get for submitting this on my phone.
Ya definitly go with audacity. Its better.
If you have enough RAM to open the file to begin with you should be right. I would definitely recommend Audacity for what you're trying to do.
Wave Pad is working perfectly!
Thanks a lot, LC! =]
I have been using Audacity. Its really good program.
