...yeah, just post them. Comprehend the title.
Given:
*over the phone, I had mailed her her gift*
Me: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Friend: ...Please tell me that you DIDN'T get me what I think you did...
Me: ...umm, just open it.
Friend: *opens* ...you got me Kizuna: Tatari* for my birthday...
Me: Hey, you can buy stuff like that here.
Friend: ...you're insane.
*Referring to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kizuna: Tatari for DS(I think that's the name, I don't remember). She doesn't even like it. :'D
Received:
Lemme think...several J-pop CDs and t-shirts. That's all I remember.
I can remember getting some perfume for christmas one year.
"How's that weird?", you may ask? The perfume bottles I got for that year were identical to the bottles I had the year before!
I remeber getting a cardboard box from my grandparents.
They couldn't afford a present but "the thought counts."
I was soo pissed off on my 10th birthday~
My sister bought me a pair of clothes for my kitten >>
Thats sick and weird.
One time I got a box in a box in a box in a box in a box in a box in a box...
I eventually opened a very small box with an SD card, so that's pretty cool. =3
One time I received a novelty squishy lamp shaped like a tiger from an aunt of mine...
From that same aunt, I received a plastic "discoball" with all the colored discs embedded in the black casing that makes a colorful lightshow.
Yes, I found them to be weird.
Weirdest of all, however, was when I received the book "The Little Prince" from this same aunt. I was 11 or so at the time, and it was a little kid's book compared to what I normally read.
IN ALL IRONY, we ended up reading that book for summer reading during my 8th grade year of summer. o_o;;
For my 14th birthday I received a digital clock from my next-door neighbor. He's well aware that I know how to tell time. <<;
I've gotten a half eaten chocolate bar for my birthday once, and thank god it was only my friend who gave it to me, not my mum or dad or someone important in my life.
My brother gave me a sack of potatoes for my birthday because my favourite word to say (in Punjabi, not English) was potato.
I was pretty angry because I had no sense of humor at the time.
On my 17th my friends humorously bought me a Shaman King Figurine and a Winnie the Pooh pencil case, and gave it me during my english class

But wierdest I've seen is probably a showerhead :S
