Anime ideas you'd like to see revisited in future Pokémon games

There are some locations and Pokémon lore that have basically remained exclusive to the animated series, so I'm wondering what people would like to see in a future game or even the main idea a game is themed around.

The ancient Pokémon from 'The Ancient Puzzle of Pokémopolis'

While the 'Dark Device' and absorbing and possessing Pokémon and people is probably too dark for The Pokémon Company to put into a game, it would be cool to see where these Pokémon came from and Poké Ball alternatives that were used to capture them.

Pink Pokémon from Pinkan Island in 'In The Pink'

So I would be ok with a game of pink Pokémon, but really what I'd like to see is some Pokémon customization with a mechanic that's already been established in the lore: berries!

Giant Pokémon Robots from 'Island of the Giant Pokémon'

Maybe we got this in a form from Pokéstar studios, but wouldn't it be fun to either have a theme park sim to make your own park of giant robotic Pokémon or be stuck in a malfunctioning park and have to fight your way out?

The Baltoy civilization from 'Me, Myself and Time'

A Baltoy civilization? Yet another ancient civilization that sounds intriguing. Would love to see ancient Hoenn explored in the future and see what was going on back then. The time-traveling aspect of this episode is kind of seen already in the series with the first Legends game.

Ok, your turn! What would you like to see brought into the video games inspired by something in the anime?

Oh thank you for gathering all of these. it's been so long since i have seen some of these anime episodes, so it was nice to have a refresher. :)
I'll need to rewatch some of these episodes. You know the pink island would explain the pink butterfree in the other episode.

I feel like the anime has way more time to go into the lore. I'd love to see the ancient pokemon in the games (not just paradox)

I was looking at stuff and I almost feel like the early seasons were more adventurous about what they'd add. Maybe that's wrong though and I just missed later seasons.

I would love to see some physical variations/traits unique to each Pokémon you encounter or catch. Maybe sometimes their hair grows in a certain way (like Ritchie's Pikachu), or its stripes are in a different pattern, etc. Something to make each Pokémon you catch feel unique and special.

The berry idea to customize your Pokémon could totally build on this! If you want to change something about them, you still have the option to do so.

I've always wanted to be able to visit the Anime-exclusive locations in-game. I loved the Orange Island badges, for example.

In general, my dream Pokemon game involves combining all locations-- games (spin-off and mainline) and anime and letting us explore them all to the fullest.

I think Pokemon Stadium did a neat thing where your Pokemon's hue changed slightly based off the nicknames. Having more ways Pokemon can be unique is really cool. The Pinkan berry is an obvious ones, but also like how there has been a Pikachu with blue eyes. I definitely think we can see more physical differences, especially now that we have height/weight differences as well in-game.

I second this, I would love to see the Orange Islands, but the Sevii islands retcon it so it very likely will never happen

I am glad you all mentioned the orange islands because i agree! Would be a great way to revisit the play and do something new at the same time. I wonder who they'd put on the box.

I mean, they retconned their own plots a bit literally with the Sun/Moon second versions and ORAS' split timeline-- I feel like they could absolutely just have the two areas combined in some way with little explanation.

More trainers who give their Pokemon nicknames in the anime would be nice, in my opinion.

Oh that's a really good idea :)

I saw that a lot in the early gens!
