We have a HUGE week for Nintendo news. Today we have the zelda direct . . .tomorrow, the general direct!
What are your predictions for tomorrow? Try to keep it realistic, but if you really want something mention it anyway! :)
I'll go first (I have not looked at any leaks btw)
Mario Kart World DLC: I think it's about time. The game has been out for a year and Nintendo is usually pretty good about updating ever green titles.
Super Smash Bros OR Animal Crossing: both are due for a release. I think we will get one but not both. I'd like to see Ditto as a super smash bros fighter, I think that would be super cool. He could turn into gravelor or any of the other in game pokopia transformations & work like pokemon trainer. (I don't think he'd become other fighters)
Pokopia DLC 2: It's time I think. If I had to guess, probably release in February.
A New Mario Sports game: they seem to do these yearly, so I am making a safe prediction
New Gamecube NSO announcements: colosseum dated, starfox adventures, etc
I think Nintendo will bring back a ooollllddd IP that hasn't had a game in forever. Kid Icarus, Arms, Nintendogs, duck hunt, punch out (I think the last one was on wii???)
A New 2D Metroid: We're about due for this. Metroid prime 4 left a bad taste in peoples mouth and I think theyll want to correct brand perception with a bad ass 2d game. I did see ramblings about this a few months ago.
Ruby & Sapphire on Nintendo Switch: I don't actually think this will happen tomorrow, but I did say we can mention something we really want.
Pikmin 4 switch 2 edition: I think this is coming VERY soon and the reason being Pikmin 3 recently got a free switch 2 update but not pikmin 4??? WEIRD. Could it be because they wanna do a proper switch 2 version of 4??
I think they will update the switch online expansion pass with more free dlc, but for switch 1 games. Nintendo seems to want to keep increasing the value of switch online and while I don't think they'll do free dlc yet for switch 2 titles, I think they will add more switch 1 games. (for example animal crossing, MK8, and splatoon dlc is free if you have switch online)
TBH I don't expect 3D Mario tomorrow, but I do think it is coming next year.
I am also not expecting any winds & waves news. While pokemon is often in general directs, I think gamefreak wants to do the next major reveal with a pokemon direct.
