I'm making a separate post because I have an idea I'd like to share with you that probably would need some discussion 😊

I was thinking it would be nice to make ranks and badges on this forum even more "Pokémon"! So, I think we could replace the current ranking system with Kanto medals — I'm saying that because of the forum's name, not because I'm 31 years old, hahaha

Another ranking system could be based on Poké Balls, but then we need to decide which Ball is better than the others. For example, I might say that the Premier Ball doesn't deserve much praise, while someone else might think we're terrible for not including the Heavy Ball on the list, hahaha

Here is an example - sorry for the bad graphic, I just made it quickly on Canva to give you an idea:

Same applies to the forum "badges": we could use Ribbons, as they can "evolve". For example:

• Collaborator (making your 1st post): Cool Ribbon

• Collaborator (making your 10th post): Cool Ribbon Super

• Collaborator (making your 50th post): Cool Ribbon Hyper

• Collaborator (making your 100th post): Cool Ribbon Master

I really like this idea and was going to do something similar, was kind of mulling over Gym Badges or if something else would work, but I think you're right — Mt. Moon is a Kanto location so it would make sense to start with that region's badges. We can expand to other regions as people move up ranks too

This is something I was planning for my own community when we finally get it up and running, and something I had already experimented with around 2022. I still have all my badges from back then which I plan to use in the new place.

So how can I say its not a great idea?
