When I was little I used to think fire was super effective against electric types.

I am not exactly sure why, but I was quite shocked to learn this is not the case.

That's interesting! Maybe you already thought that a Pokémon like Magnemite would be weak against Fire-type moves since it's made of steel. If you had this idea while playing Blue/Red/Yellow, you were predicting what would happen in the second generation 😁

Regarding me, I thought you had to start the game over if you lost a battle against a Gym Leader! I remember I was playing Pokémon Yellow, and I was against Blaine, but I lost because I had no Water Pokémon in my team at that moment. I lost and I began to cry, but then I found out that this was not real, so I started screaming with joy! So many emotions during that day 😂

I didn't fall for many of the rumours and Pokégods, but I did fall for the Mew under the truck because of the literal truck that was in the game's data. A pity, I would have loved it to be true!

I wanted them to finally do this in let's go pikachu & eevee, but I was happy to find out they did at least hide an item there :)

I can't remember what it was though, I'll investigate! I think you can use surf to go get it. :) Or the game's equivalent

You're right, it's possible to find a Revive in front of it!

I used to think the lake trio is super strong as they are legendaries and legendary pokemon are stronger than typical pokemon (≧ヘ≦　) so I used them mostly during my first playthrough of bdsp (yes i'm the "new" pokefan)
