Posted July 20Jul 20 Hey everyone!Seeing that many people enjoy using their Pokémon Pikachu (or Pocket Pikachu if you have the Japanese version), I decided to create a guide to help you make the most of it!First, let's cover the basics.StepsPokémon Pikachu acts as a pedometer, counting your steps. For every 7 steps, you and Pikachu earn 1 Watt. These Watts can be used to play a mini-game or given to Pikachu to increase its happiness.ClockThis displays the current time. It’s important to keep the clock accurate, as some animations depend on it. For example, Pikachu won’t want to walk once he’s gone to bed. You can also set an alarm using this feature.GiftHere you can see how many Watts you've collected. Use the up and down buttons on the control pad to choose how many Watts you'd like to give to Pikachu. His reaction will depend on how many you give him. Note that offering zero or just a few Watts will make him unhappy.Mini-gameSelect the coin icon from the menu to access the mini-game. Each spin costs 5 Watts, and you can only play if you have enough. Press A to start spinning and press A again to stop. Match three of the same symbol to win Watts. The best prize (500 Watts) is won by matching three "7" symbols.FriendshipPressing the SELECT button, this screen shows your current relationship with Pikachu, along with your total step count. The closer Pikachu feels to you, the closer it will appear on the screen. If you haven’t walked or played with Pikachu for a while, it may run away. You can shake the device to get him to come back.OptionsPressing the START button, you can see the Options menu. From here, you can reset the counter in the top-right corner to 0 using the reset option (note that the counter cannot exceed 99,999). You can also toggle the device’s sound on or off and adjust the time settings. Here you can find all the possible scenes that Pikachu can perform:SceneDescriptionTimeStepsstarting sceneturning on the device for the first time0Actions Pikachu takes depending on its relationship with youstanding stillwhen it has a "common feeling"anyignoringwhen it has a "strange feeling"anydisappearingwhen it has a "worst feeling"anywagging his tailwhen it has a "good feeling"anysmilingwhen it has a "friendly feeling"anyActions Pikachu performs when you turn on the deviceplaying in the sand09:00 - 13:00anyplaying with blocks09:00 - 13:00anyeating a lollipop15:00anyeating an ice cream cone15:00>300kreading a book15:00anystudying arithmetic09:00 - 13:00>300kstudying history09:00 - 13:00>300kstudying English09:00 - 13:00>450knodding09:00 - 13:00>450kplaying piano09:00 - 13:00>450kwatching TV18:00anytaking a shower19:00 - 18:00anytaking a bath20:00>300kplaying a bugle09:00 - 13:00>160kflying a kite16:00>160kplaying with a yo-yo16:00>300kplaying with a radio-controlled car16:00 - 19:00>300kusing a computer19:00>450khang gliding16:00>450kturning a somersault19:00>450kwriting a letter of thanks19:00>450keating takoyaki07:0012:0018:00anyeating bread07:0012:0018:00anyeating rice12:0018:00>300kbrushing its teeth08:0013:0019:00anyyawning08:0012:0020:00anyin love08:0012:0018:00>320ksleeping21:00anysleeping21:00anysleeping21:00anywaking up07:00anyActions Pikachu performs when you walkwalkingdaytime0 to 100krunningdaytime0 to 100kriding on a motorcycledaytime50k to 100kriding on a tricycledaytime0 to 160kriding on a pedalcardaytime100k to 230kriding on a bicycledaytime160k to 300kriding on a monocycledaytime>230kskateboardingdaytime>300kwalking on stiltsdaytime>400kActions Pikachu performs when giving it wattsmaking facesdaytimegiving 0 wattscomplainingdaytimegiving 0-99 wattsbeing gladdaytimegiving 100-299 wattsturning a somersaultdaytimegiving 300-699 wattsin lovedaytimegiving 300-699 wattswriting a letter of thanksdaytimegiving 300-699 wattsplaying a bugledaytimegiving 700-999 wattsbalancing on a balldaytimegiving 700-999 wattsswimmingdaytimegiving 700-999 wattshang glidingdaytimegiving 700-999 wattsplaying pianodaytimegiving 700-999 wattsFinal scenefinal sceneanytime1.000.000I hope this guide is helpful. I must say that, since this is an old and not very well-known game, it was difficult to find accurate information about it, so not everything I listed in this guide may be correct. For this reason, please do not hesitate to comment if you notice any errors or missing items!Source: biglobe.ne.jp Edited July 20Jul 20 by dragoniteo
July 20Jul 20 I used this website myself as a guide for learning more about the Pocket Pikachu. I hope we can use this as the foundation to get an accurate idea of what the Pocket Pikachu can do.Also I have no idea how the original creator got those pixel images of Pikachu, I was never able to find a source.I considered filming each animation and trying to recreate them by pixels. I think it would be a huge job but I might attempt it someday if I can get some proper software to do it!
