Pokémon GO has announced the debut of Gigantamax Butterfree as part of a special Max Battle Day, scheduled for August 3rd, 2025.

The Bug- and Flying-type Pokémon from the Kanto region will be featured in Gigantamax Battles throughout the event. Trainers participating in these battles will have the chance to encounter Shiny Butterfree.

This marks the first appearance of Gigantamax Butterfree in Pokémon GO, giving players a new opportunity to expand their collection and take part in a limited-time challenge.
