Subscribed on YouTube! That is a pretty interesting first Shiny — I did the same double take when I got a Shiny Zubat or Golbat in Crystal, forgot which stage I caught it at (mostly remember it as my Shiny Crobat). Glad you still managed to notice even with the screen issue. And congrats on such a high percentage completed on your Shiny Dex. I am far below that, just passively catching Shinies usually in GO haha. Welcome!!

Planning on doing some passive Shiny hunting in PLZA (maybe will have more time to dedicate in Nov) but pretty Gen VI-centric list of goals: Absol (Mega Absol) Espurr Dragalge Trevenant Gourgeist Malamar If I can find a Shiny for one of those I will consider it a success 😂

As predictable as it is... yes, I would probably have a Bug-type Pokémon Gym and try to live up to legends like Burgh and Bugsy. Although a much newer Gym Leader to the franchise, I also enjoy Katy(did). I really liked both of Burgh's Gym designs, so I'd want to hire his interior designer (lol). If I were to choose a different type for a Gym, I'd have to go with what is also predictable, Grass! Erika is one of my all-time favorite Gym Leaders.

Is anyone playing yet? I'm kind of disappointed there isn't a Switch 2 release — right now it's only available on the PC, PS5 and Xbox. I have not personally bought it yet but it looks really good and I'm hoping to pick it up at some point. Wondering if anyone who has started it has any first impressions (no spoilers please) or if anyone is planning on picking it up later like me.
