Now that it has wrapped up, I think the new Tomodachi Life and Story of Seasons trailers were the highlight for me — besides the new Z-A footage

Wonder if we'll get last-minute Pokémon game for the Switch 🤞

I might be the only one, but there are some things that I really miss that were replaced by new technology or trends. Phones with keyboards I loved my Sidekick 3 in high school. Also had an HTC G1 Android phone with a physical keyboard. Translucent plastic designs Whether it was N64s or iMacs, there was such a fun element to some products with the colored plastic. A lot of stuff today feels almost too utilitarian/sleek/minimal. Zune Probably the least relatable to most people, but I miss my Zune. Maybe others had a favorite MP3 player. Now we just have our phones. Curious to hear if anyone else has any tech or tech trends they miss!

Welcome Corylus! Appreciate you coming! I feel like there was really something special about Gen III... even just from the opening animation. World really felt alive with the colors and sound. I hope we eventually see RSE and FRLG on the Switch/2 (and ideally as an actual release, not just the Switch Online membership which can add and remove games or eventually shut down). Love your artwork and look forward to seeing more!

Posted about it on PokéJungle, just wondering how everyone feels. I have worries about LGBTQ players and how much financial backing Scopely has from Saudia Arabia. Also concerned that the aggressive gambling mechanics from Monopoly GO could make it into the Pokémon title in some form or fashion.

That would actually be pretty cool, I will have to look into that. Would be a good way to keep things more tightly connected. Also need to add a link in the navigation for the Discord server.

Welcome! I like your Gastly, will have to look into why it isn't loading properly before being clicked. I am a little bit iffy on the combat of Legends: Z-A myself, but I hope that it is smooth and easy to control. I also hope that the Pokémon biomes aren't too forced-feeling since we're stuck in the city. Will be interested in what you think after playing it!

I very excited and happy to be able to welcome Pokémon fans back to the official forum of the PokéJungle website, Mt. Moon Community! First started way back in 2006, we ultimately closed it and transitioned to a forum that was simply "PokéJungle Forums". But I think we lost a lot of uniqueness in that move and, ultimately, our forums closed with the continued popularity of social media sites which hosted discussions that would have previously taken place on forums. Over the years, I had really wanted to bring back Mt. Moon but I had let the domain lapse and it got taken by domain squatters. I would still periodically check if it had been released though, and, to my great happiness, I could reclaim mountmoon.net. Yes, I know I could have found a similar domain, but this feels like reclaiming a piece of the forum's 10-year history. Is this 2005? Why do we need a Pokémon forum?It seemed like social media was really the evolution of the forum — you could make friends across the platforms and weren't confined to primarily interest-based websites, didn't have to register for a gazillion forums, could easily share short-form content and images and they were ultimately just very convenient. But I think it is getting clearer and clearer that platforms controlled by some of the world's wealthiest people are ultimately not making the internet a better place. Whether that's through the spread of misinformation, the pushing of controversial content to generate engagement or arbitrary enforcement of rules on their users, no social media platform has really come out looking good. Today, some seem extremely detrimental. That's why I believe that forums are a good option for people to use to discuss Pokémon or anything else. Mt. Moon Community is still evolvingJust like a Clefairy, Mt. Moon still has room to grow and evolve. Please have fun, be respectful and let us know any feedback you have so we can continue to improve!
