  1. I joke that I am in toxic yaoi with Masters EX because rarely do I not feel some kind of :/ about things from the story perspective, and from the gameplay perspective I'm not very good with strategies or understanding all the unit kits or how to make it through the tough modes/battles + the events (like legendary gauntlet/super sparring/highscore) run too fast for me, so I never get the full amount of gems and am always behind in the important resources like for EXing units. Yet I still play for the off chance that I actually get crumbs catered for me personally (be it otp/fav combos crumbs or my faves getting a cool alt. shoutout to unova villain arc having hugh and nate talk on my birthday, shoutout to academy hugh and academy kabu being ridiculous on my birthday and eventually leading to new lore in my personal lore realms, shoutout to the sheer happy meltdown i had when the neo champion nate trailer first dropped and i woke up to that, and also the father or foe event lives rentfree in my head as does N @ nate in the a pure and touching heart event) I enjoy TCG pocket since I can simply log in and open packs and do the occasional wonder pick, pretty much i only do the battle mode during drop events lol but how the game will continue to develop will remain to be seen. I also enjoy pokemon sleep which I've only started to play a couple months ago when i learned my watch can be synced and i'm actually able to play it because of that, but also i feel kinda stressed out feeling like i'm behind and struggle to clear all missions and stuff :'> but still it's cute I haven't played any of the others, unless you count the mobile version of HOME or shuffle which i had played on the 3ds 😅 GO was pretty much too frustrating/near unplayable for me so basically i haven't in years
  2. I am completely happy with the way the games are and really hope there won't be much changes to the base difficulty, because as people said they need to stay accessible to young players (as well as anyone else who may face challenges with gaming in whichever way/reason, like myself lol). But I agree that adding difficulty modes in settings, level scaling, or things like that can be a way to keep the low barrier accessibility that I love so much about the pokemon main series, while also adding more ways for people who want to have fun with challenges on a related note, it has been almost 3 years and i will forever be grateful for the accessibility feature they added in indigo disk. I was so ready to give up ever proceeding the plot when Amarys let me pass her trial just for the fact i kept trying and failing because that mini game was... really not made for me lol i haven't tried it since getting the switch 2 so i don't know if that changes things, but it was really, really frustrating at the time indigo disk dropped
  3. Rookidee my beloved <3 Zigzagoon my beloved <3 Purrloin my beloved <3 Pawmi my beloved <3 Azurill my beloved <3 Grubbin my beloved <3 Mareep my beloved <3 just to name some off the top of my head hahaaa Corviknight was a major MVP in Sword, Obstagoon was also on my team throughout while Linoone is always a keeper in my Hoenn-based game teams as well. I kept Liepard throughout Black (B2W2 has so much more that I also love in the early routes), Azumarill was my super MVP in Violet (and I also had one for a while in my Black 2 run. it was when they could still be transmasc and that was how I first learned of the fact), Vikavolt was part of my team rotation in UltraMoon, and I definitely used the Mareep line at different points. And then there is of course also (Alolan) Raichu my beloved which is also often a keeper if I have it on my team in any game that Pichu or Pikachu is available early around There are, as usual, so many I love a bunch!
  4. I teared up watching this, also the Frillish plushies at the start of the video and then getting to watch them float in the underwater area again 🥹 would be fun if we get more stuff like this during the wait time until release/more reveals
  5. I definitely agree on the 3ds! it was one of the best ever imo, playing on the 3ds is a good time and I miss streetpass :') some of my most favourite/formative games are for 3ds, and I'm gonna include dream radar being an extra feature for b2w2 here lol, so that's a bonus win for me along with what's already been mentioned with the form factor/portability and general fun. I love playing on the switch/switch 2 but honestly I would love it a lot more if I actually could play handheld mode as much as I would like but the console is heavy and bulky for my hands (more so with the switch 2 the few times I could try so far) and I have persistent neck/general back issues too :') so table mode is usually my compromise at this time but that still gets rough on my neck (admittedly though part of the whole dilemma probably lies in my living situation) the gba sp and ds lite also were sooo fun to play on, also shoutout to them being like unbreakable and while I had to replace my 3ds' battery about 4 years ago, the ds lite has no issues whatsoever lmao rip.
  6. this is a mood! when I wrote my reply I sat there like I somehow forgot all the cross-gen evos that ever happened in the older gens 😹 I even spaced out on Espeon and Umbreon at first! And now after you mentioned two more Gen 2 examples, Crobat! I forgot about Crobat!
  7. As always for me, I like a bunch lol but immediate thought ... Sylveon, since it's one of my most favourites ever but I also adore Glaceon and Leafeon and Espeon and Umbreon. Gallade also is a big fave ever as is the whole Ralts family (and on that note I have to say I am very much happy that male Gardevoir wasn't like, erased or something lol). Also Togekiss... can't forget about Dusknoir... And since regional forms are included, I adore Alolan Raichu as much as i already adored Kantonian Raichu... I keep spacing out so I guess I'll leave it there now!
  8. my live reaction when I found out through this post, I have been waiting for z-a support in HOME all this time...
  9. I haven't had as much energy to post in a while, but even then I still read along and I'm glad to have joined this Community 🩵 here's to the years to come! and hopefully when I have more energy and brainpower again I'll remember which topics I wanted to reply something too (also applies to old topics from before I arrived) 😹
  10. This was the one trailer I absolutely had to find a moment to watch yesterday, I got emotional from the start and then I saw Frillish in the underwater area and I just 😭🥹🥺 the protagonists both look adorable, and so do the new starters. I'm excited to find out more from further reveals in the coming time, for now I'm partial for Waves because water-affinity and I love the cap
  11. Yesterday irl got in the way for me to watch (and today I have had zero energy to watch it or catch up on bluesky/tumblr rip) so reading up on the live coverage post right after the presents ended was a life saver for me 🩵
  12. I still don't even have any from the previous releases (one day 😿), but I really need Corviknight 🥹 maybe + Rookidee and Corvisquire for the whole family. And if I could have my way, a bunch more including but not limited to Eternatus, Zacian & Zamazenta, Calyrex + horsies, ...
  13. Amazing choices all around! I absolutely agree about N, and I appreciate that you picked the artwork from B2W2 because his smile is everything 😭 I'm fond of Bugsy, and I enjoyed how Brassius and Burgh got to interact in the recent Pokémon Masters EX event! Jacinthe was so funny in L:Z-A and for me too, Corbeau was immediately a new favourite! I have yet to play the DLC but it's gonna be fun to see more of them I really really love about Pokémon how "everyone is someone's favourite" can apply to both the critters and the humans with how wide a range the cast has 😺
  14. There are many characters all across the franchise, from the games to anime and other media, from player characters to battle facility bosses, but the question is — who's your favourite? For me, my main focus lies with the male player characters and rivals. They're all beloved to me in their own ways, but above all, my favourites are Nate and Hugh, who have been big comfort characters for me since 2013/14 and everything loops back to them, they're everything to me and I could gush forever and flail and cry. Close second being Victor and Hop, who kind of rewired my brain chemistry when I played Sword for the first time exactly 3 years ago 😹 As so often though, I have so many other characters I love a ton that I can't list them all here (and sometimes only remember in context 😹) but shoutout to N and Colress, who are. blorbos. I'm curious to hear your answers! 😸
  15. That's a good question — feels like it just kind of happened 😹 I guess I'd say it's a mix of the aesthetic and how rare/hard to get they were (so thankful for the eventual QoL feature that you actually get multiple when buying multiples of 10 & bulk buying)
