To celebrate this week's release of Bubbly Basin in Pokémon Pokopia from its DLC Expansion Pass, we're asking what Pokémon fans love that lives in the water! They're not required to be Water-type Pokémon, as not all Pokémon who can live in the water or spend time there are necessarily Water types (Pincurchin, Tynamo line, etc.).

This can also tie into what Pokémon you'd like to have in your underwater town in Pokopia as well, regardless of whether or not they're included in the game.

Personally, I have a soft spot for the following Pokémon (not totally inclusive of all my watery faves):

• Kingler: I'm a crustacean fan and Kingler is the OG crab Pokémon.

• Pyukumuku: What's not to love?! It is adorable and I really enjoy the black/pink coloration. Pincurchin is also adorable.

• Lanturn: Have always enjoyed this angler fish-inspired Pokémon.

• Dragalge: Just really enjoy the design.

Water Pokemon are actually one of my favorite types so there are a lot I like-- it's also my most common Starter choice. Even though Dragonair is technically not a Water Pokemon, I tend to associate it with water anyway due to how it's been animated and where it can be found.

As for actual Water-types, I really love Dewgong, Horsea, Vaporeon, Piplup, Gastrodon, Finneon, Oshawott, Finizen/Palafin, Lapras, Marill, Wooper, Quagsire, Mantyke, Frillish, Omanyte, and Spheal. Ogerpon's water mask is also my favorite.

With Bubbly Basin, obviously we don't know for sure all the Pokemon that will be in yet (I may edit this once we do), but from the ones we know are and considering my list above, I'm excited for the Popplio line, Frillish, and Corsola most of all, but there are several Pokemon I really like that are coming (like Finneon, Mudkip, and Totodile!).

Honestly, would love to see regular Wooper and Quagsire as part of this, but that might not be likely.

Also need to give a special shout-out to Bidoof because of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon even if it only gets water type when it evolves.
