Question of the Week: What did you think of Pokémon Worlds 2026?
This was my first worlds that I could attend, and I’d gone to college in SF so I was somewhat familiar with the area. I also had the chance to go with my best friends who also scored tickets. Short of full out being cancelled, there was no way for me to NOT adore this trip. I had a fantastic time even though I could only attend Sunday. Missed out on the pin rally which bummed me out a bit, but tbh I do think the pin rally needs to radically change regardless. Whether that means giving out more pins at badge pick up, having an actual activity to get the pins (instead of just a massive line), or what I’m not sure. I didn’t get to do any of the interest list items, and while initially disappointed by this there was still lots for me to do Sunday to the point I didn’t get to everything! I spent the entirety of my day at the venue, from 7:20 am until 6:20 (decided to go back to my hotel room to watch the finale, as everywhere at the venue was packed and my travel buddies were worn out). The news announced didn’t surprise me, they’re definitely saving any WiWa news for a direct (maybe the upcoming Nintendo one…?) On the whole of it, I have to give the event a 8.5/10. I may be a bit biased though.

Question of the Week: What is your favorite water-dwelling Pokémon?
I’m from a region where marine life is a big part of my culture so I’m super fond of many water type pokemon (generally pick water type starters too) so the water dwelling Pokemon I would want in my underwater town are: Lugia: The OG Beast of the Sea Swampert: the first Pokemon I ever got to level 100, Muddy the Swampert from Ruby. Love this guy Walrein: Hoenn being a favorite region of mine and how amazing Walrein has carried multiple of my teams in multiple games mean I always want to have her around Dewott: I love otters so much and Dewott is my favorite of the Unovan starter evos Floatzel: See love of otters above, apply here Basculegion: ghostly salmon? Sign me up, and the designs are so cool

Question of the Week: Do you have a favorite villainous team?
Team Rocket TRio, of course, but if we’re talking just the games I’ve always been a Team Magma person. Team Skull I have sympathy for and I love their look aesthetically.

Question of the week: What pokemon town would you move to??
The criteria for where I’d live have to be a) near water, b) near forest or mountain, c) a region with Pokemon I love, d) either easy travel or good shopping. I seriously cannot imagine living in a landlocked town without any water nearby so it resulted in the following list of top ten places I would live in Pokemon: Mossdeep, Hoenn (space nerd, plus ocean, plus favorite region) Canalave, Sinnoh (coastal, favorite Pokemon nearby (Lucario), great library) Lilycove, Hoenn (coastal city with good shopping and great pokemon nearby) Anistar, Kalos (coastal, gorgeous city) Fortree, Hoenn (treehouse. Need I say more?) Levincia, Paldea (coastal, good shopping, decent Pokemon, but too loud) Laverre, Kalos (the autumn halloween vibes override my usual preferences) Slateport, Hoenn (coastal, good shopping, lowkey) Sunyshore, Sinnoh (coastal, high tech city, though closed off most of the game) Blackthorn, Johto (the place I, a dragon type trainer, decided I would live when I was a child, so had to make the list despite not meeting most of my requirements)

Question of the Week: What mobile Pokémon games do you enjoy?
I played Pokemon Go near daily for nine years…but I’ve dropped off since March. Now I get my Pokemon mobile fix from Pokemon Sleep (which has bullied me into a healthy sleep schedule regardless of what day it is) and Pokemon Pocket.

Question of the Week: Are Pokémon games too easy?
While personally I’m fine with the current level of difficulty; after all one can always have self imposed rules like nuzlockes if one wants more of a challenge, if they keep open worlds I do wish they would have level scaling depending on badge numbers.

Question of the Week: What is your favorite early-route Pokémon?
Rookidee has a special place in my heart for many reasons, including that I found a shiny one early game in the first day I played Shield on release day and it kickstarted my becoming a shiny hunter. I also love corvids so it was really fitting that this line became my favorite early catch.

Question of the Week: Which Pokémon deserves its own game?
I think it would be fun and interesting to have an in depth aura game with Lucario. An aura guardian game set before Hisui era (like the movie with Sir Aaron)?
-
Question of the Week: Pokémon FireRed or LeafGreen? And are you already planning your team?
I played FireRed as a kid, so now I’m going to give LeafGreen a go. Beyond picking Bulbasaur I’m not sure what team I’m going to go with…I’ve picked Char and my OG was Squirt so I’m going with something new.

Question of the Week: What is your favourite Poké Ball?
My favorite is the duskball because when it was first introduced it helped me catch some of my favorite pokemon (who often spawned in caves & at night) then of course the luxury ball! Hard to go wrong with black and gold. I’m also fond of the moon ball, but don’t use it as often as I’m always nervous to use ones I can’t just buy more of…

Question of the week: Who's your favourite (human) character?
I have many favorite humans in Pokemon, but top five are: Cynthia Lillie Corbeau Cheren Ruby (manga) Honorable mention: Team Rocket

Question of the Week: Is Pokémon part of your holiday Celebrations?
Pokemon is part of all my holidays! This year thanks to the Pokemon Center selling wrapping paper, all the gifts I’m giving are wrapped in Pokemon paper. And my friends who have small children are getting Pokemon themed gifts (various plush and books for them) and my older friends who also love Pokemon are getting Pokemon sweaters and mugs! I’m also planning on baking Pokemon sweets from the cookbooks; mainly Rockruff chow & Appletun hand pies

Question of the Week: What's your favorite unique Pokémon?
I’ve always been super fond of the Orange Island series and their unique Pokemon before regional variants were a thing. So Crystal Onix would have to be my absolute favorite (one day may we get it in game with perhaps a new typing?) but despite the fact I’m not fond of the color pink, the Pinken Island Pokemon are so iconic! Food changing Pokemon colors is soooo fascinating!

Started hunting for shiny pumpkaboo while I waited for trick or treaters, and amazingly got one in less than half an hour!

Question of the Week: What's your favorite Pokémon spin-off game?
Pokemon Colosseum & XD Gale of Darkness will always have a very special place in my heart.
