Question of the Week: What’s Your Favorite Shiny Pokémon? ✨
If you manage to do that, I will be very envious :P I unfortunately struggle following video tutorials which is part of why I still haven't managed </3

Question of the Week: What is your favorite "third" Pokémon game?
Yellow is always my favorite third version as I liked the anime twist on it. I also enjoyed Black 2/White 2 for being a story continuation instead of just a replay.

Question of the Week: What’s Your Favorite Shiny Pokémon? ✨
There are honestly several, but if I had to narrow it down to one, I absolutely adore Shiny Ribombee. If I had any sewing skills, I'd love to modify a Ribombee Sitting Cutie/Fit Plush to be shiny instead.

Question of the Week: Which battle feature/mechanic would you keep if you could only pick one?
Considering my favorite Pokemon is Mega Audino, it may not be much of a surprise to say mega evolution :P Removing some biases, I actually don't really like any-- I prefer battles being simple and I don't really enjoy mechanics that it feels you're forced to use. But in that sense, I enjoyed megas because while they did add some things, it was still that Pokemon with a new form and maybe some other new things and it's something I could see working even outside a battle gimmick and I really wish they WOULD find a way to make it a permanent thing. Everything else felt a lot more of a forced gimmick because of how specific their use is. In the same sense, I feel all of them could be combined with mega evolution, but not with the others. I did like some of the cutscenes for the Z-Moves, but I also feel like there were other ways to incorporate that (like stronger bonds with your Pokemon = twists on certain moves). Gigantimax did have some neat forms, but I just... did not care for the giant versions of them in any way and of all of them, felt like the most forced to be used to make like... a giant kaiju battle. I actually do like the tera crystals (I love rocks, again, biases), but not over actual form changes kind of like with Z-Moves, it's something I'd rather see combined in another way.

Question of the Week: what's your favorite Pokémon type?
For a long time, I generally said Water even though if I thought about it, a lot of my favorite's types varied with many in normal (I just tend to lean towards Water starters), but Fairy has absolutely stolen the crown since it became a type. I feel like this is entirely unsurprising if you know my aesthetic :P

Who is your (not so) favourite shiny Pokémon?
Shiny Ribombee (followed by Shiny Celebi) is probably my favorite shiny. As for least favorite... I honestly don't know. There are some where I did wish they were more my cup of tea (like Shiny Mega Audino is pretty disappointing to me), but I don't know if there is one in particular I super dislike. If I had to try and pick, I would guess one of the ones that are like neon green/yellow or the like brownish green-yellow. If I try really hard to pick one off-hand that bothers me, I guess maybe Shiny Primarina? The yellow "hair" doesn't match anything at all, even compared to its previous evolutions and I wish they went with a more complementary color of it (I think coral or seafoam could have been nice or even some mix): Like you had this Indigo, Violet, and light pink, and you added yellow. (As an aside, I don't personally have any grievances towards the ones that are super close in color. At least you know you'll like it and you get something similar with a special effect.)

What Pokémon would you choose to be your "Pikachu"?
I mean, I already do this frequently in most games. Whether it's a one stage only Pokemon that doesn't get tons of love (like Audino/Mega Audino) or just keeping them unevolved, it's absolutely something I do frequently. Even three stage evolutions-- sometimes I only get them to the second if I evolve them past the first. But yeah, just some of the Pokemon I've never fully evolved and used fully in a party: Pikachu, Frillish, Pumpkaboo, Lillipup, Rockruff, Wooloo, Galarian Ponyta, Piplup, Oshawott, Fidough, Flittle, Pawmo, Floette, Stufful, Teddiursa, Cleffa, Minccino... I could go for a while :P I always go with a party of favorites. I've never changed that.

Did you pre-order a Nintendo Switch 2?
I initially hadn't, but my parents surprised me with doing so as an early birthday present (my birthday is in July). My main hope was just to get one by the time the additional Kirby content released, but I'm glad I won't have to worry about it during the holiday rush now at least.

Street Pass / 3DS Streetpass at the mall
I hope you manage to get some! I still like to try and bring my 3DS in hopes of finding some, but I definitely do so less and less often... I honestly miss it a lot. I love StreetPass so much and also was disappointed to see nothing related to it or any kind of Mii related thing for Switch 2 (especially after the Tomodachi Life 2 announcement). Personally, I think they could absolutely have some kind of internal game and then have like... one of those peripherals Pokemon GO/Sleep has or like how the Dreamcast had the VMU and that could be used to gather Streetpass and then connect back to the Switch 2. The fact that Miis still seem to be given the boot and the lack of any kind of similar thing (I adored the StreetPass games so much too) blows my mind. There was a DS game I loved as well called Treasure World that essentially let you find items by finding other DS' and Wifi networks in the world which I super enjoyed.

The Pokémon Fossil Museum is coming to the US!
Really hoping there will be one near us. I was so bummed the Animal Crossing Aquarium collaboration wasn't close at all so I'm really hoping better luck this time.

Anime ideas you'd like to see revisited in future Pokémon games
I mean, they retconned their own plots a bit literally with the Sun/Moon second versions and ORAS' split timeline-- I feel like they could absolutely just have the two areas combined in some way with little explanation.

Anime ideas you'd like to see revisited in future Pokémon games
I've always wanted to be able to visit the Anime-exclusive locations in-game. I loved the Orange Island badges, for example. In general, my dream Pokemon game involves combining all locations-- games (spin-off and mainline) and anime and letting us explore them all to the fullest. I think Pokemon Stadium did a neat thing where your Pokemon's hue changed slightly based off the nicknames. Having more ways Pokemon can be unique is really cool. The Pinkan berry is an obvious ones, but also like how there has been a Pikachu with blue eyes. I definitely think we can see more physical differences, especially now that we have height/weight differences as well in-game.

New Pokémon TCG sets will have Illustration Rares for all 156 Gen V Pokémon
Praying Mega Audino will be included somehow despite how unlikely that is.

Share your Gen VII Sitting Cuties shopping list!
Yeah, the price is a large part of why I'm having to be especially picky despite liking a lot of these a lot. My day 1's are Ribombee (though, I'd love a shiny version-- if only), Lurantis, and Stufful. I'd like to get Rockruff, Togedemaru, Dedenne, and Primarina (and/or Brionne) in the future. I also really love how Minior (Red Core) came out-- I think it looks great, but it's definitely low priority. Some of the other Pokemon that I'm not sure if I'll get or not are Magearna, Nebby Cosmog, and Pallosand. Possibly Alolan Vulpix as well.
