Question of the Week: Which Pokémon deserves its own game?

MMC-QOTW-2026-04-08_what-pokemon-deserves-its-own-game.jpg

Pokémon Pokopia was an amazing way to showcase Ditto and made the classic Pokémon even more endearing than it already was. But that also made me wonder what other Pokémon players would like to see featured as the primary Pokémon or protagonist.

Chatot or Meloetta leading a rhythm game? A platformer featuring Lucario? Pecharunt controlling the world? A Let's Go, Togepi title?

Shamelessly, I would like to see Let's Go, Togepi! as long as the catching mechanic is better than LGPE.

I also think Sewaddle could make for a fun 2D platformer protagonist with movement primarily done through String Shot.

I'm curious what you all think! Let us know what kind of game you think your favorite Pokémon could star in or share a killer game idea you think a Pokémon would be tailor made for.

I think it would be fun and interesting to have an in depth aura game with Lucario. An aura guardian game set before Hisui era (like the movie with Sir Aaron)?

Give me a Pokemon Center-based game with all the Pokemon Center Pokemon that I am absolutely not biased for of course :P

I think taking the vibes of Pokemon Cafe Mix and making it into a simulation game with various Dessert/food-related Pokemon and fitting helpful ones would also be super cute.

Would this be a healing game? :o

Since it's pokemon center related?

It could be-- could also be mystery-esque of trying to figure out what's wrong with a Pokemon and doing other helpful things around the Pokemon Center/helping out around the town as well.

While Pokemon Center is mostly to heal your Pokemon, we've seen ones with Pokemarts integrated in them and the Anime frequently used them as a lodge for traveling trainers as well so I feel like there is a lot they can do with it. We know sometimes they traveled to get to patients as well (whether helping them remotely or bringing them back).
