I've been meaning to check out that Pokémon LoFi too, it sounds like good background music for reading. I'm curious how the whole Ariana Grande album compares to the single you mentioned, since one track rarely tells the whole story. "Hands Open" by Snow Patrol is a nice change of pace from all the pop in this thread, and it reminds me how much I enjoy guitar-driven songs. What has everyone had on repeat this week?

Toxel's nature-based split is what makes it feel deliberate rather than tacked on, and I'd rank it alongside the classics for that reason alone. Elekid's animated bounce does a lot of work too, though—it's a design that needs motion to land. The one I'd push back on slightly is Riolu: it reads as a smaller Lucario first and a baby second, which is exactly the shortcut Toxel avoids. Does anyone else separate babies that earn their own identity from ones that mostly foreshadow an evolution?
