Hey everyone! 😄

The Question of the Week is: What is your favourite Poké Ball?

I know that the Master Ball and Love Ball are among the most popular, but many others are also highly regarded, even if they are less well known. (Here's Bulbapedia's page on Poké Balls)

For example, I love the well-known Moon Ball, but one of my absolute favourites is the Park Ball! I love the yellow and blue combination 😊

Which one is your favourite? Did you choose it just for its appearance, or because it's linked to a specific Pokémon or event?

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF THEM.

Special shoutout to the premier ball that I have been attached to since forever (and I love the Poké Ball Boutique for letting me buy them and still get the freebies on top), but yes — I just love Poké Balls of all types as a whole! I wouldn't know how to pick a singular one and only favourite, as with so many things 😹

So, aesthetically, my three favorite types of Poké Balls are the Dream Ball, Cherish Ball and Luxury Ball. I think all just look top notch 👌

There are also some really cool anime-only balls that I think are super cool and wish we'd get in game. Strange Ball also gets a nod because I love the weird green look.

Conversely, one of my least favorite Poké Balls is the GS Ball, even though it looks super cool, because the anime never told us what was in it 😡 That always annoyed me as a kid lol

I didn't remember that they didn't tell us the Pokémon in it in the anime! I always thought it was Celebi's Poké Ball 😮

That's cool! Is there a specific reason why you're so attached to it? Or is it just because of its aesthetic? ☺️

I must admit that reading that your partner gave you a FRIEND Ball for your anniversary made me smile 😂

Joking aside, it's a wonderful gift! ☺️

I admit that I've never understood why they decided to design it that way. How are those four red dots on the sides and that yellow dot in the centre supposed to represent friendship? 🧐

That's a good point... I also wonder what it represents. It's a cool design but I don't see any connection with the Pokémon affection-boosting aspect.

That's a good question — feels like it just kind of happened 😹 I guess I'd say it's a mix of the aesthetic and how rare/hard to get they were (so thankful for the eventual QoL feature that you actually get multiple when buying multiples of 10 & bulk buying)

The only connection I see is the green colour, because it's a Ball that you can make with a Green Apricot. Other than that, I don't see any connections. It seems more like a Ball connected to nature (the dots can represent seeds), so I would see this Ball as one of those that can be more effective with types like Grass (similar to the Net Ball, which is more effective with Water and Bug Pokèmons) 🧐
