This tournament is all about friendly competition, meeting fellow Trainers in the MMC community, and seeing who comes out on top ⚔️✨ Please read the rules and information below before signing up. That means: Lose once and you’re eliminated Win and advance to the next round All battles will be played privately between players. We currently do not plan to stream matches. Battle RulesMatches will be played using the standard Pokémon Champions competitive settings. Rules include: 3-on-3 Singles battles Trainers may bring a team of 6 Pokémon, but choose 3 before the battle begins Pokémon levels will automatically be set to Level 50 Duplicate Pokémon species are not allowed Duplicate held items are not allowed Any banned or restricted Pokémon according to current Pokémon Champions competitive rules may not be used Pairings & DeadlinesSign-ups will remain open until July 22nd at 11:59 PM. Once registration closes, tournament pairings will be posted in this thread and participants will be tagged so everyone receives a notification. Players will have 3 days to complete each match after pairings are announced. If an opponent does not respond within the deadline, they may be disqualified unless moderators have been informed beforehand. If you message someone for a match please wait a full day before messaging them again: remember, people work. Reporting Match ResultsAfter completing your match, reply in this thread with the winner’s result and tag your opponent so they can confirm it. You just got a letter in the mail from the Pokemon Government (whatever that looks like) They're giving you a FREE home in whatever town / city in the pokemon world of your choosing + 1 million poke dollars to get you started ANDDD they'll let you decorate it however you want What city are you moving to? I'd choose celedon!!! Mostly because it looks like such a beautiful city + that is where Erika's gym is. Maybe she will hire me as a gym trainer. Not to mention the game corner!! Second place would be goldenrod city! It's by the water so it would be very pretty

I have a love / hate relationship with Pokemon Go. In the last year, I really only play on community days. I am deeply disappointed in the handling of the game. I am a big big lover of majikarp jump. I played it religiously in 2018 or so. I'd love to see more of those patterns in the mainline games (and that goes for tiny variations for all pokemon). Maybe it'll be possible as hardware continued to get more powerful. I loooove looove tcg pocket, but I give it another year before they go the way of GO and start making stupid decisions. Good stuff can only last for so long :(

Starfox has been out for almost a week, so I wanted to give my thoughts and opinions. So basically, Star Fox is about a crew of mercenary pilots hired by the Galactic Federation. The Federation's own military is spread way too thin, so they bring them in to stop Andross from taking over the galaxy. As the player, you control Fox and fly his ship, the Arwing. Gameplay-wise, it’s a "rail shooter," which just means your ship is always moving forward on a set path while you blast enemies and dodge obstacles across different planets. For context, I am a HUGE starfox fan. I never played the originals on the Super Nintendo, but I was a big fan of the N64 version growing up. When I was a little kid I didn't understand there were branching paths you can take, so when I beat the game I thought I was done and man I enjoyed it! I actually played through it a few times and never discovered the branching paths. I suppose I was playing the same way each time. I never played Starfox Adventures, but I did play through Starfox Assault (I think I was like 10?) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't remember much of it as an adult. When I played Starfox 64 3D on the 3DS I finally discovered the branching paths and unlocked the true final ending. Then Starfox zero on Wii U. I love this game & will defend it until the day I die. The #1 complaint about this game is the controls. It played okay, the only time they became unbearable for me was during the final boss, but the rest of the game it's not that bad if you're used to it. I liked that it wasn't a carbon copy of 64, it was instead a reimagining. New levels, new bosses, stuff plays out in a new way, etc. Although it tells the same story, it doesn't have much else to do with Starfox 64. Now were here today for Starfox on switch 2 which IS a straight up remake of Starfox 64 in every way. Same levels, same bosses, same level design. . .same everything except this time the game is MUCH prettier. People also hate the new voice cast, but personally I think it's just because people were used to the old voices. One common complaint is that the game is about two hours long, so people don't feel like they're getting their moneys worth. But completing all 3 paths and getting all the gold medals will take at least 5 hours to do + even then, it's designed to be played multiple times as it is an 'arcade' like experience. Your performance and how many enemies you shoot down are directly tied to your high score. There is also a brand new online mode that wasn't present in the original release that is A LOT of fun. I wish there were more stages here, but there are 3, each having you do a different objective. The gameplay is very addicting and it's easy to get lost in matches and burn up a lot of time. I think a stand alone splatoon like starfox experience would do quite well because online dog fights are that fun. I also really enjoyed the new cutscenes that take place between each level. It adds a lot of context and characterisation you just don't see in the previous versions of this story. They're beautifully animated and it's like watching a movie. If you're on the fence wait for a sale, but at $50-$60, I think its 100% worth it. If I had to score it out of 10, I'd give it an 8. (I took of points for lack of additional online stages, and although it is a 1:1 remake of 64, I still would have loved to see new single player levels.) Would love to hear other peoples thoughts on the game.

FO SURE. They have always been easy, but I deff think they have gotten easier in recent years. At the same time, they are pretty good about making the post game stuff challenging. I personally hope they scale gyms in the future if they let us do them in any order again

My switch and 3DS probably a few times a week but I just looked at my PS4 to play some last of us 2 and uhhh. . .it was dusty as hell. and gross. Made me feel so bad for neglecting it!! lol how often are you all cleaning your consoles???

12% of all pokemon cards ever were printed in the last year. YUP. That is a MASSIVE AMOUNT. and STILL supply cannot keep up with the massive demand. The last card shortage only lasted a year and now we're going on 2 with no signs of slowing down. I remember pokemon company international putting out similar figured in 2022. (This could be off some) i believe at the time, 25% of all pokemon cards ever were printed between 2020 - 2022. So what does all this mean? A big L for investor bros long term who just got into the hobby. Their scarlet & violet era cards just wont hold up as well in the grand scheme of things compared to sun & moon and earlier because theres just waaaaaaaaaaaaay more of it. (and I am talking when were looking back 10 years from now there is gonna be way more SV era cards than anything else) Hope the bubble burst soon lol Card production will continue to ramp up as they're building new factories for card production.

Just wanted to note a personal win here: I finished my website upgrades. I decided a few months ago I wasn't THAT happy with it. You know how you look at art you did a year ago or so and get grossed out? Yeah, that was me. I redid a few pages, added others, changed things. . .now it is looking spiffy. It's not pokemon related unfortunately, although I have thought about making a sewaddle appreciation site. Hope everyone is having an amazing week :) What did you accomplish this week??

I work from home, so I am always being annoyed by my cats (love them tho) and it got my thinking about pokemon and coworkers. Which pokemon would be the most annoying coworker? Psyduck came to mind for me. I gave PJ an image I had in my head haha I hope he includes it in the featured image (PJ note: sorry!!). I think Magmorter would be a lot to put up with too because he'd burn everything down! Psychic types would be pretty chill tbh. Could tell me about work stuff before I even know about it. I know this is a bit silly but have a think about it

When Nintendo announced the switch 2 at $450, it came as a shock to a lot of people. Including myself. I fully 100% expected $350-$500 due to past precedent. But it's not only Nintendo raising prices. Sony & Microsoft raised theirs last year and it seems sony is doing it again. https://blog.playstation.com/2026/03/27/new-price-changes-for-ps5-ps5-pro-and-playstation-portal-remote-player/ A base PS5 will cost $650 while a pro will cost $900 In 2023 you could get a base PS5 for $300ish if you looked enough as it often went on sale. I personally think the PS6 will come at around $650-$700, but what do you think?
